There were riots certainly, then you had things like the Miners Strike, the Poll Tax, widespread industrial action etc. though those generations never had what kids have today, it is precisely due to those who grew up in the 60s/70s/80s and the struggles they went through that kids today have such abilities yet look at what they do with them.

I usually like him, ish, a bit, kinda, next to Boris.

Or they perceived that they would get rich, that is a fairly decent point. Though we could all sit here and come up with some very good explanations but ultimately this came about from some people protesting which became violent, and more and more thugs decided to get involved snowballing the situation, without any thought probably going into it.

Comments about it being the 'fault' of immigrants are fecking stupid, however the policies of successive governments in terms of dealing with the demands of immigration are certainly part of it, and part of the discrepancy you're pointing to yourself.
Thats not saying immigration shouldn't be allowed, just that how its dealt with has been naive and inadequate.
As for looking to yesteryear, I referenced attitudes during the war (in response to the excuse of people growing up in hard times) to point towards a difference in societal attitudes between then and now, they had it far worse that the current generation didn't so whats changed between then and now, why have attitudes changed so much, to an extent that its now ok to destory a 150 year old business in your community that offers god knows how many employment, or to burn your neighbours house down?
If we really want to address the issues which are causing these attitudes thats what we need to look at. How have we ended up where we are? Society is part of it... but ultimately society is what we make it and the prevalent attitudes of its members. Its not some controlling, external force.

All the footage of these wankers fighting with the police shows the same thing, gutless wankers throw something from a relatively 'safe' distance from the police so they can't be reached by batons/shields and then run away, turn around with arms out in "come on then" type attitude, whilst stepping back further and further to ensure they don't actually get confronted.
