UK Riots (with the exception of Manchester which has its own thread)

Mates fair enough. I think there's a lot of BS on twitter.

I called the missus as she left work in pic gardens at 5 and she said there were loads of police out and a lot of shops had closed but there was nothing going on.

My daughter works on Cross Street and had to walk for the Bus at Picc , she said there is lots of police around and also lots of groups hanging round wearing masks , she feel very scared.

I find the whole immigration/race angle very interesting. Whenever something like that happens, there's a bunch liberal minded folks with good intentions who start talking about institutionalized racism, police brutality and targeting the minorities, economic hardship that's common to the areas these troublemakers come from, etc etc.

I wonder though what would happen to these scumbags if they tried doing these things back in the home countries where their families came from to the UK. I can guarantee you they used to live in a shithole with no government support system to speak of and the law enforcement they had to deal with makes the worst British policeman look like a Santa Clause by comparison.

Blimey. Are all Chelsea fans closet members of the BNP? Or just the redcafe members?

Used to live in shit-holes? I'd say the vast majority of rioters have spent their whole lives living in shit-holes. Shit-holes in England. What with being English an' all.

I hope what Antihenry tried to say is the police elsewhere would beat these people down.

Right in off to Manchester. I can't wait for my Tiguan to arrive gonna go instead in my old avensis board it up and run these feckers down.

Stolen from Facebook , but makes a very good point.

where do these idiots think the money is going to come from to rebuild the city when they finish??? out of taxpayers money and already cut council budgets! money that should be spent on the health service! there not fit to breathe the same air as decent people! absolute scumbags

I missed about twenty pages there, has Team Brian progressed from asking for bans on hoodies and twitter to advocating full-scale nuclear war yet?

Where did I say they were all black or all immigrants?

Things are really worrying considering Hightower died last week. He saved the day for Mahoney & Co. last time there was a big riot.

Seems to be getting a bit more tense in Birmingham. Taken from the BBC:

Derrick Campbell tells the BBC he is stuck in his car in Birmingham, in the middle of a stand-off between police and youths. "My car is actually surrounded by, I'd say, at least 30 riot police. I've got two police vans blocking my car in. There's a group of youths, I'd say, about 50 yards away."

Mailbox has also been surrounded by police vans.

Edit: "They've just attacked one of the Sky vehicles with sticks and missiles. The police are keeping them at bay, they've blocked the road off... I must admit that I am a little bit nervous, I'm not sure how I'm going to get home."

You know full well the "parents" of the vermin will be indignant at "everyone was doing it, but only our dave was caught".

It's probably in your 1920's dialect book too.

That's a phonetics book. This is purely a spelling issue, everybody pronounces says 'sez'.

What the feck are those officers doing on the Sky feed?

Three bungalows set alight in Milton Keynes, fecking hell. Small fires reported in a number of places.

to be honest they is very good reasons for the start of the PL to be delyed

After Bham City Centre, it kicked on in handsworth last night, quite bad and it's worked it's way up soho rd into west brom. Now it's spreading, I think tonight is going to be a bad one. I'm going to the cricket in edgbaston that's still on but I have a funny feeling they'll call it off.

Anyone else think Twitter's to blame for all this shit?
