We need to pass the more, really. Keep the ball better. At the moment we're ponderous and unable to hold on the to the ball. The rate at which we've given the ball away has been crazy.

Midfield has been awful, it's lacking the energy that Ando/Cleverley have provided so far this season.

It was my first worry when I saw the midfield. Very slow.
Carrick is useless and out of date. Makes the beautiful game so boring and systematic. Stupid prick. How about having some balls? How about start playing some football n trying to make things happen, look for a one two, an angled pass. What's with all this passing back to keeper. Prick.

If one of the midfield was having an off day then it may not be so bad but they have all been pants so far
Look how deep Rooney is coming and he's the lone forward. That tells you this isn't right.
I hope we change it at half time to get Rooney playing off another striker who will run in behind the opposition rather than him up top and Giggs in behind.

Midfield is SO slow. It's not a good watch - it's not as though Benfica are a particularly excellent team either.
