Atleast we've played all the big boys. Got to get a midfield in January to be honest. Becoming a joke.

He'll be slightly more effective on the treatment table than he has been on the field lately. Hoping this leads to a renewed focus on the in-form Michael Carrick and pushing Pogba and Morrison whilst we wait for Cleverley.

And you'r supporting Manchester United, yeah right.... fecking nuts!!

How could you say that? The treatment table will clearly collapse under big fat Anderson's weight, nobody benefits from that!

SAF will play the twins in midfield, might even play TK and Lindegaad before playing these two. It must be something he is seeing that we are not and I trust SAF on this btw due to his track.

Obvious hyperbole guys. Relax!

Maybe the fact he is overweight isnt helping his injuries.

He doesnt exactly look in prime physical condition

When Pogba and Morrison eventually get their chance they're going to leave all of us wishing they'd started the season. ;)

I haven't seen anything from Pogba this season in the Reserves or in his brief appearances in the Carling Cup to suggest he's anywhere near ready to start playing regular PL and CL football.

Morrison isn't a midfielder.

Morrison isn't a midfielder.

Morrison can definitely play midfield as the most advanced of a midfield three, they kind of did it in the youth team last year with him, Tunnicliffe and Pogba. Pogba was deep-lying and Tunnicliffe box to box, it had a nice balance to it. Not sure Morrison could play in a two man midfield however.

Don't worry, Gibson will save us.

Seriously though you can expect to see a lot more of him for the time being. We thought he was destined to leave in January but the injury crisis may even keep him here until the summer. Either way, good performances would help us out and put him back in the shop window. Everyone's desperate to see Pogba and Morrison given their opportunity to shine but Fergie is likely use Gibson's experience for the time being. They will have to try and change his mind with their cup performances. Still, even without Anderson and Cleverley we still have various midfield combinations at our disposal. We will cope until they're back.

His form has been crap but I still don't know how people can 'celebrate' a player getting injured.

No one can.

Schweinsteiger is a bloody weird one though. I was hugely disappointed when I first saw this hyped up wide player who seemed to have no stand out attributes for a winger. And then a few years later he turns into a beast of a central midfielder.

Dare I say...Anderson at left back?

That is a shocking idea. Anderson at left back would be equivalent to a plague.
No positional discipline or awareness, he,d feck up any attempted offside trap.
He.s too fat and unfit to get up and down the flanks supporting our attacking play.
He cant cross either.
This idea would suck more than the xfl.

The way some people go on you'd swear Anderson has never had a good game for us. This is a player who has bossed the midfield in games, the talent is quite clearly there. Fair enough on the consistency arguments, one day he'll be spraying passes and then his passing goes to shit. But to completely write him off is ridiculous, 23 years old lads, cop on a bit.

And he clearly isn't fat or unfit. No chance Fergie would give him a look in if he was.

Him being out till Feb is just depressing news given Cleverley is also injured. So that leaves just Fletcher and Carrick. And I Fletcher has been rubbish this season. Maybe Fergie will give one of the kids a go. Doubt it will be against Newcastle though.

I doubt it. Jones, Rooney and Park will play central midfield before any of the kids have a go at it, and there's still Giggs and Gibson that you didn't mention.

Couldn't agree more. Fickle we are though, a few weeks ago everyone was raving about him, 3 or 4 disappointing performances later (and a couple of them playing alongside Wayne bloody Rooney in midfield) and he's written off again.

Desperate news for him. Hoping that it will at least give a bit of stability to our midfield. Carrick should be nailed on for a long run now and Fletch showed enough the other night to suggest that his recovery is gaining momentum. Giggs, Park and Gibbo there for a bit of rotation every now and again, things don't look hopeless from where I'm sitting.

Such a shame to lose him for this long. Although his form had dipped in the last few games, I thought he had generally found a consistentcy that had eluded him in previous seasons and keeping fit had been a big part of that. I might be remembering wrong but hasn't he had a few knee problems now?

Don't know how I managed to miss out those two!

But I'd honestly prefer anyone but Rooney in the centre. We need him to start getting back amongst the goals and do teams damage from advanced positions, and given the wide players another attacking body to play off.

this is the truth

I think we'll have to have a fair few more injuries before we need to put Rooney there again. We've got carrick and fletcher as first choice, giggs and park able to come in and then have the likes of jones, valencia and gibson if need be. Plus Clev might be back in a few weeks, so we're alright for options.

Well said, the lack of patience even up here in the mains is ridiculous. He's been excellent this season and the few times he's under-performed he was primarily let down by his midfield partner Fletcher.

He's shown his ability, consistency will come with experience, at which point the caf will love him again as if they never doubted.

Another one to avoid. We need balance at the moment. I actually do understand putting a youngster into the first team isn't easy and should be done carefully but if it comes down to players like Valencia playing in centre midfield, then I'd rather see youngsters like Pogba get a chance. At least he's at home there. Too much chopping and changing with players out of position just leads to disjointed performances, unless they're complete all rounders.

On top of which, the chopping and changing of where he plays hasn't done Valencia's fragile confidence any good.

Why is he hiding his fat stomach? The fat bastard. Hurry up and get healthy.
I feel for the lad. At this rate he might not have any cartilage left in those knees.
