Should've got Welbeck on for Vidic and moved Jones down to RB with Smalling coming in next to Rio. We needed to go forward and had a good opportunity to make that offensive sub.
Biggest 45 minutes of our season so far coming up.
Probably very rusty, he hasn't played upfront alone in quite a while as he's been enjoying having most of the ball in the hole this season.

Not time to panic yet. I'm fairly sure we will get a draw out of this game and progress. Expect Basel to tire and for United to boss most of the second half. Hope to see Welbeck and Fletcher shortly mind you.

Just can't score. I don't know what else to say. We're making hard work of it these days. That one sloppy defensive moment was punished but otherwise we've bossed this game. We shouldn't be losing and we shouldn't be going out. It's almost laughable the situation we've got ourselves in.

Ashley Young has been fairly frustrating so far. Welbeck will be on around the 60th minute, I imagine.
Don't think Fergie will change it too much yet as we're actually on top, but fecking hell, need to stop trying to play pointless high balls into Rooney and Park (who should be not be playing as a forward).

after that great start...feck...we really have gone off the rails....I'm always usually so optimistic about our scoring ability....but we look so short on confidence at the moment.
