Now someone tell me there's ever been a matchday thread better than this!

 just waiting to hit the 'reply post' button eh?

Either way. Good matchday thread Leroy. You might become the next Vidared.

fecking hate this fixture, been poor at craven cottage for the past few seasons.

Same team as today please.

It's going to be a tough one for us, and we've found that out in previous years. I haven't been overly impressed with Fulham this season, however that win over Bolton will give them a huge morale boost, and they always give that bit extra when they have us at home.

A win here and we are really flying in my eyes.

Tricky away and will need to be at our best. Keep it unchanged Fergie and go about the game exactly how we did today. High pressing giving them no time on the ball.

This will be a tough match as Fulham have proven to be our bogey team in recent seasons. They've managed to get a result against us, usually down to lots of injuries in our defence. If we play like we did today I can see us winning though.

Another worrying thing is how Fulham have performed against some of the other 'top' sides this season. They snatched a draw at home to City, held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw, lost 2-1 against Spurs but were unlucky, and they capped it all off with a 1-0 home win against Liverpool.

Oh yeah, so they did. Oops, I'll fix that.

Can't wait for this one because I'm going to the game. 3-1 I think we're going to put our chances away this time.

I'd say we pick the same team, only change for me would be Chicharito if he looks ready in training.

Young might come in as well, but that's all I'd expect.

Team should be...

GK: De Gea

RB: Smalling
CB: Evans
CB: Ferdinand
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Carrick
CM: Jones
LM: Nani

CF: Rooney
CF: Welbeck

Subs: Lindegaard, Rafael, Fryers, Park, Giggs, Berbatov, Hernandez

So same again then. Could make an argument to bring Giggs in but the form the teams in maybe a consistent line up is the way to go

Yeah, if I was SAF, would not change the side just yet. Let this side run for as long as it can. Will have to make changes after this game.

Only change worth considering is Welbeck for Hernandez.

Nani

Rooney
Hernandez

SUBS: Lindegaard, Rafael, Giggs, Young, Park, Welbeck, Berbatov.

Why do people want Hernandez back? In my opinion the beautiful football we played has a lot to do with Welbeck playing instead of Chico... Sure he may not be scoring (wrongfully disallowed goal today though) but his overall play is much better than Chicaritos.

I hope we play the same side that we did in the last 2 matches, why change the winning formula? We've created more chances in these 2 matches than in the 10 before them.

i have to agree, welbeck deserves his place - all round play has been excellent and he gives you real presence

think he just needs a goal

We Need Hernandez to start hitting the net, ready for when Rooney's goal flurry hits its thrice seasonal blip!

If we're sticking with moreless the same team, I hope Welbeck stays in the team. He deserves it and we're playing some great stuff with him. Makes no difference to Hernandez whether he comes off the bench or not, he adjusts to the pace of the game quite easily.

I also think United look a lot more fluid and potent with Welbeck.

Feck, I'll be just hopping on the bus in Dublin after my last exam. I'm going to miss it!

I would be shocked if Fergie plays the same XI for this game. Today (QPR) must have been one of the first time in years that he has played a completely unchanged team. With us having two games in 4 days and then another on Boxing Day, I just think he'll give a few players a bit of a rest.

Would be a mistake in my eyes as we are really looking like we are gelling as a team over the last few weeks and think we can kick on to keep the pressure on City, especially considering that they have a comparatively easy home game on the same day.

I reckon Young will start as will Hernandez

If I am not mistaken, he played the same side for two games even this season.
