Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

No they dont. The fixtures he'll miss;

City
Oldham
City
Stoke
Bolton
City
Wolves
Tottenham

I'm not sure when the 4th round of the FA Cup is but whether they win or lose to Oldham he'll be back for the United game

So they DID time their climb-down to mean he will miss the City league game and return in time to play United.

How small-time is that?

"n its determination to prove its conclusions to the public through a clearly subjective 115-page document, the FA panel has damaged the reputation of one the Premier League's best players, deciding he should be punished and banned for perhaps a quarter of a season. This case has also provided a template in which a club's rival can bring about a significant ban for a top player without anything beyond an accusation"

Disgraceful. fecking cnuts.

Luis, you are feisty, cheeky, supremely talented and largely despised and misunderstood throughout the country. The English media are queuing up to attack you. Manchester United hate you and fear you. The Southern based authorities wnat to cut you adrift, they just wish you would go away. You are the victim of a grave injustice, delivered without any respect for evidence.

Do you realise how much of a poster boy for this City and this Football Club you are now?

God bless you lad. You'll never walk alone.

Good Lord :wenger: :wenger:

IMO the club should be charged with misconduct / bringing the game into disrepute or whatever would be appropriate.

If you're appealing fine, state your grounds for appeal. You cant not appeal while at the same time questioning the objectivity of the entire enquiry and everyone involved apart from Suarez, while claiming to be champions of the greater good.

You can't have your cake and eat it. If you want to criticise the inquiry, fine but put your money where your mouth is an appeal officially.
Amen.

He'll play only against us if they'll lose against Oldham in the FA-Cup

He'll play against us whether they win or lose it.

Edit:

Eight games he misses if they lose. If they need a replay he'll be back for their game against Spurs which is before their game against us:

They don't know how to count either, it's just over an eighth of the League season, and significantly less than a quarter of the whole season.

Is there any able minded non-Liverpool supporting person that thinks that statement was a good idea?

Mr. Evra was deemed to be credible in spite of admitting that he himself used insulting and threatening words towards Luis and that his initial charge as to the word used was somehow a mistake.

Sorry, what reality do we dismiss the testimony of people who use insults? And because when SAF went to the ref he used the word 'n****r' it means there's a conspiracy, but all the changing Comolli, Dalglish, Kuyt and Suarez testimony is meaningless? Right.

The facts in this case were that an accusation was made, a rebuttal was given and there was video of the match. The remaining facts came from testimony of people who did not corroborate any accusation made by Mr. Evra.

Because Suarez was caught LYING. He fecked himself, and Liverpool fecked itself by having Comolli, Kuyt, Dalglish change their stories as well.

In its determination to prove its conclusions to the public through a clearly subjective 115-page document, the FA panel has damaged the reputation of one the Premier League's best players, deciding he should be punished and banned for perhaps a quarter of a season. This case has also provided a template in which a club's rival can bring about a significant ban for a top player without anything beyond an accusation.

Wrong. Again, it was the lies that Suarez was caught telling, and the unbelievable story of Comolli and Kuyt hearing the same wrong thing and then magically switching their stories, that buried him.

English football has led the world in welcoming all nationalities and creeds into its Premier League and its leagues below, and Liverpool Football Club itself has been a leader in taking a progressive stance on issues of race and inclusion.

Didn't they get their first black player in the 80s? Sounds worse than America, and much worse than Uruguay, where 'negro' is never used in a racist way according to language expert Luis Suarez...

[Suarez]In my country, 'negro' is a word we use commonly, a word which doesn't show any lack of respect and is even less so a form of racist abuse. Based on this, everything which has been said so far is totally false.

Too bad that doesn't agree with reality. More lying, I see. He's good at it. Well, not really.

If he admits to using negro, he should at the VERY least apologise for any unintentional offence caused.

So, basically, Luis Suarez is martyring himself to progress the cause of racism?

I'm actually happy that he'll play against us. Victory will be much sweeter.

Exactly - couldn't give two shites if he misses game against us or not, they'll only make excuses for when they lose if Suarez is banned.

They are basing a major part of their statement on the idea that Evra, when translating what Suarez had said into English initially, translated 'negro' as 'nigger'. He was later informed (effectively) that that translation wasn't accurate enough because the Spanish term is less automatically pejorative. So in his later accounts he acknowledged that new information and modified his account accordingly.

This is meant to imply that his testimony is as questionable as the highly mutable accounts of Suarez and his team - many of whose assertions were shown to be contrary to recorded evidence.

Liverpool are a complete fecking shambles of a club. Who would have thought they could reduce their status this much, in such a short time.

 Oh my goodness. They are doing this now os he can come back and face us on his return? How pathetic is that? Don't think there is any team that would be willing to lose their best player for the immediate game against Man City for something 9 games later.

They can't appeal as they are trying to do their best not to look even more stupid but their statement is just as pathetic as they have been throughout this entire issue.

If he admits to using negro, he should at the VERY least apologise for any unintentional offence caused.

Although it was intentional provocation on a football pitch - playing against your fiercest rivals. Unintentional offence due to cultural ignorance should have been the very least he could have done to save face.

Only about a month away, Suarez back, Evra still our captain. Toxic atmospehere, toxic being the word Henry Winter just used for Liverpool's statement.

He'll get annihilated. Kenny ain't got the balls to play him in that game IMO.

He won't be match fit so I guess a sub role. Anyway, surely the FA will have to take action against Liverpool for their latest statement, I guess we haven't even heard the last of it.

Oliver Kay

Personally I'd rather have seen #LFC and Suarez appeal - quietly, without aggression - if they feel verdict and 8-game ban unjust. it would have been far easier for #LFC and Suarez to appeal had they not been so aggressive initially And if LFC/Suarez taking punishment, an apology to Evra - even if only for offence taken, not intended - wouldn't have hurt But they've decided Evra's the bad guy here. So have many LFC fans by look of it. Doubt they'd see it that way if Johnson was victim.
