Newcastle United vs. Manchester United

Really? Giggsy has given away more ball than any other midfielder tonight so far.

He's the only one who makes forward passes in midfield, so that's not a surprise...

Nani end ball is shit, Carrick is too slow, Park is off, Rooney first touch and passing are letting him down, Berba has no service, Valencia is feisty, Rio is off, Jones as well... All in all Newcastle are outplaying us...

Unlike our other midfielders though, he has actually been creating while on the ball. That's what he's like as a centre mid. Gives the ball away often, but that's because he takes risks while on it.

He's been creating no more than Nani has and Nani can keep the ball at least.

I like Park but we need more of a threat on the left, only got Lingard on the bench, could shift Giggs out wide and bring on Ando. Need more pace going forward.

Rooney is playing like he's been out for 6 months. Got the first touch of a pub player.

Really been impressed by Tiote on the ball. And of course Ba's work up front has been excellent.

Swear he got his shot off before Giggs came in, Webb's had a good game so far though.

I think Giggs needs to come off for Rafael and stick Park in the middle with Valencia on the right an Nani on the left.

What?

At least he is trying to create something.

there are far players worse today like Rooney ,Berbatov, Nani or even Park

No need to start with name-calling because I didn't agree with you.

Last night Skrtel came from behind and clipped the back of Toure's foot. Rio and Ba got their legs tangled. I don't think it's the same in any way.

Not saying either was more or less of a penalty - I just don't think it was the same thing at all.

Your right, sorry, but ba just scored while i was typing that.

Its not the same situation...just a similar thing.

2 players tangling in the box can go either way. Depends on what mood the referee is in.

I think he's been creating more than our other midfielders. There was that tricky pass that nearly got to Berbatov at the start, while he's slotted through one or two other decent balls as well. For me, if we're going to cut through the Newcastle defence, we need to keep on Giggs for the time being.

Newcastle look better balanced than us and are wanting it more.

We need to get our foot on the ball a bit more and slow it down. Our attacking is far too rushed - we keep giving the ball away.

No one is playing well. Man Utd are second best at everything in the first half. Very poor.

It was hardly a tangling, unless your definition of tangling is a player sticking a leg out to take down a player, and catching him in the process.

I feel our play has become a bit predictable again recently much like our slump around the second Basle game.

Slow build up, pass wide, hopeful cross..

We've been poor as an attacking unit this half. Had a decent 10 minute spell but other than that it's just been a lot of hit and miss football. Lot of speculative passes and not enough percentage football. Basically, we've had no control of this game. Our football has been the kind where we need a break going our way rather than being that which eventually will reap rewards. Hopefully we find much more control and precision to our game in the second because it doesnt' look like Newcastle are going to roll over.

This looks utterly brainless at the moment. They'll get a bollocking at half time.

Why is when they attack they have acres of space to go into?

Besides Berba's deflected header against the post have we actually had a shot on goal?
