Newcastle United vs. Manchester United

What was that from Jones? He should have had Ba covered, so he wouldn't have needed to lunge into that challenge.

I think it's obvious we'd have gone for our usual 5 in midfield away from home, if it wasn't for our shortage in the centre of midfield.

I disagree. I reckon Fergie would still have gone with 4-4-2 even if we had more midfielders available.

2-0.

Boring.

Newcastle are quick to close and snappy in their tackles. To overcome this, we need our individual players to show some skill and beat their man followed by quick decisive passing to open up the game but no one United player has stepped up to that challenge so far and keep making mistake of dallying on the ball too long whilst his teammates have charged too far ahead whilst Newcastle has regrouped to cut out the passing angles. End up we just hoofed the ball up in hope.

Else we need to make quick short passes whilst moving ahead at speed as a team. But we're not trying that at the moment.

We certainly won't make any head way with that approach. Looking like we're going to draw at best, if we're lucky.

feck!

Ok maybe not such a good foul. So we've come out and let in a 2nd in the first few mins of the 2nd half again.

Great free kick though.

That's unfortunately what you get when you defend like amateurs. Brilliant strike.

Think SAF needs to go hell for leather and bring on Hernandez for Park and just go for it.
