Newcastle United vs. Manchester United

I thought losing out to Basel would be a wake up call for Fergie to reinforce the midfield a bit, but I guess he needs to see more. Hopefully when we amass 3 losses in a row(can't see us beating City away), he'd have something in mind.

Depressing stuff all over.

We've been shit, full stop. I don't like our formation at all...why are persisting with this archaic 4-4-2 bollocks?

Whilst I agree 4-4-2 is outdated, it's served us well and suits us better than 4-3-3, we never look fluid with 4-3-3. We lack personnel at the moment to play either comfortably.

Yeah...two wonderstrikes but Pardew's set them up very well. I think we may've played into their hands.

This midfield is an abortion, we won't create anything if we can't hold the ball for more than 3 seconds

fecking hell, Lindegaard jinxed us by twittering he has 5 cleansheets.

I think you'll find that there's a major difference in ability, when you compare Aguero and Silva with Ameobi and Gutierez.

I think you'll find you have to respect any team in the Premier League. 40 minutes left, we need to get a grip on this game and build a way back into it.

Throwing 10 men forward with Ba looking so dangerous going forward is just stupid.

Two goal of the season contenders I reckon.

Doesn't make it hurt any less.

Show some balls now please lads.

2-0 is a strange lead to defend. 1-0 up and teams are still on edge but 2-0 up and there is a subtle relaxing and then if you give up a goal the nerves kick in. We still have a chance.

No point in placing any of the blame on Lindegaard. If he'd positioned himself at that side of the goal and Newcaslte had scored, then you'd blame him for that. If you want to blame anyone, blame Jones.
