Arsenal vs. Manchester United

Brilliant cross from Giggs for the goal! Really hope we can pick up another goal or two because we've been completely dominant.
 
Superb performance. We have been in control of the game since the 20th minute. Only sour note has been Jones' injury.

Hopefully we can get a couple of early goals in the 2nd half and finish this off.
 
Dominated the half and finally got the goal we deserved.

Shame about Jones, I'd guess at best he'll be out for a couple of weeks.

Carrick is incredibly. So much of his work goes unnoticed, but he's a big part of the reason why Arsenal simply can't get out of defence. Constantly taking up great positions to break up play and restart our attack. What a player.
 
Carrick has been sensational so far. Long may it continue!
 
Great dominant first half if not a bit frustrating before the goal. I was worried they wouldn't make the dominance count but getting the goal just before half time was great. Well deserved

Nani's final ball as well as Rooney's was poor.

But he is otherwise raping their Djorou which is encouraging. If his delivery improves in the second we can tonk them.

What I think we need to be careful of in the second is sitting off Arsenal. We've got this game under our control and need to keep playing the way we have so far. Arsenal will no doubt try and pass it around more in the second, but I hope we don't get into our shells and try and hit them on the counter. We've rendered them hopeless by passing it well.
 
We've really taken over this game. Defence looks pretty much solid and we're getting plenty of joy down the left. Need more from the right though and we've got to see Rooney and Welbeck getting some chances.

Don't slack off in the 2nd half.
 
I'm really pleased with the first half. I think Nani and Evra totally dominated their area. Djourou and Mertesacker don't stand a chance against their speed and tricks + both Giggs and Carrick is helping out quite a bit on the wing there. Lovely stuff.

Also nice to see this back three we create when in possession with Carrick dropping low and the fullbacks going out in attack. There's no chance for Arsenal to put pressure on us there.
 
Strange kind of game. There's never really been any doubt that we'd win this game, from my point of view, and we've completely dominated them...it just seemed like it might've been one of those games with the way we were fannying about with our chances. The game just feels a bit flat, it's not really a contest.

Oxlade-Chamberlain looks annoyingly gifted though. Thought he was pretty anonymous v us for Southampton but every time I've seen him since he's looked potentially top class.
 
Great first half save for Phil getting injured. Push for a second early in the next 45 I reckon.
 
Our passing and movement has been fantastic. Arsenal constantly looked stretched.
 
This game feels weird, never seen Arsenal this poor. I knew Tony V would score, the beauty!
 
What a slick, professional half that was.

Giggs and Carrick have pissed all over them and the wings, Rooney and Welbeck going foward always looks like creating a chance.

great first half. Giggs showing what a player he is. rooney dropping off to collect the ball which Arsenal couldn't deal with. Nani toying with djourou , good good solid game.
 
Some ridiculous comments on here. Nani is looking lively and had some great linkup play, his end product hasn't been there yet but his general play was excellent - who was it who played in giggs for the goal?

As for giggs, he hasn't been playing half as bad as people suggest. Earned us a free kick which may have led to a goal, and got the assist when we did score.
 
Both teams have lacked the final ball, with Arsenal getting more shaky in defense as time went off. Nani has been wasteful, could have had 3 goals if he passed or chose his shots better. Valencia was quiet till the goal. Carrick has been immense.

I've been impressed with Ox from Arsenal, Rosicky and Walcott have had mares though, limiting his impact.
