Arsenal vs. Manchester United

Carrick's performance: 20/20
Amazing lesson in passing
When a team wants to play football (Arsenal, Swansea), Carrick usually performs very well.

Van Persie hasn't done anything yet but surely good players can create something out of nothing?

Nani and Evra are having a field day on the left, but they should have produced at least an assist between them.

Strange kind of game. There's never really been any doubt that we'd win this game, from my point of view, and we've completely dominated them...it just seemed like it might've been one of those games with the way we were fannying about with our chances. The game just feels a bit flat, it's not really a contest.

Oxlade-Chamberlain looks annoyingly gifted though. Thought he was pretty anonymous v us for Southampton but every time I've seen him since he's looked potentially top class.

I thought he looked great vs us for Southampton, in patches though

We've been class.

It's funny, I had planned on moaning about Valencia not being in the game, and then he goes and does that.

Rooney has been sluggish though, and should have put Valencia through at least twice.

Probably bring Scholes on for Giggs around the 65-70th minute. Should help maintain possession.

Nani's just been holding the ball up and we've been running riot on the left hand side having runners off of him. Neither Chamberlain nor Walcott are chasing back.

Piers Morgan not happy.

Good. There was a big feature in one of the papers recently where he quoted his "Twitter accomplishments," which was basically just him talking about how he'd argued with Ferdinand and Rooney.

Being United, we will have 50 chances to score, miss all of them and let Arsenal equalize with a soft goal. Come on United, put the chances away!

Would have been an odd moan anyway, he's broken free down the right quite a lot

a good solid first half , got the goal we deserved.
Nani man of the half for me , mind you I would like his final pass to be better

I'm sorry but I could not agree less with you about Nani.

For all the talent and ability guy has his decision making is on a par with a 10 year old.

The amount of ball the bloke has seen and the positions he has put himself in his final balls / decisions have been utter SHITE.

There is 0 point in having the ball the whole time if you do sweet FA with it.

Giggs has shown him with a single chance the ball he should be putting in.

Nani has been in the team for long enough now to be able to have improved his decision making.

Arsenals attacking wide men do very little defending and Valencia and Nani will beat Djourou and Vermaelen 9/10. This match is ours as long as Gibson doesn't screw things up.

Both Rooney and Nani were wasteful, BUT they're both also creating lots of problems. Rooney's long passing has been brilliant and Nani has been destroying their right hand side but both have lacked the cutting edge to their game.

Evra's been good. The key to beating Arsenal has been deploying the fullbacks well, particularly the left side. Cole had a field day against his former side a couple of seasons ago.

Nani is bound to convert some chances into goals or assists if the second half continues in the same vain, he's running right through them.

It was more a moan directed at his team mates, as in how they haven't found him enough, despite him having acres of space on more than one occasion.
