Gotta say I'm concerned with Mata in the middle. It's where I think he should have been playing and where he can provide a lot for Torres. I didn't realise Essien would be ready for this, hopefully he's rusty as feck.

Yeah but we have no one who is a natural defender to come in at centre back which is an issue where we have an injury prone Ferdinand. And on top of that the most likely person to go in to centre back in the squad (Carrick) has no natural replacement on the bench bar a kid.
