There were two players marking him. One to cover him coming inside and one for him going on the to the bi-line. Evra instead of instead of covering him doing he latter just defended him how he would if he was one on one, which he wasn't. That was my take at least.

Not with Evans there, it's asking for a tap in. He should be staying on his line with Evans going forward. It's Evra's fault for letting Sturridge past him in the first place, obviously but both Evans and DDG could have done better. I'm not blaming either Evans or DDG though, it was a freak goal that Chelsea have done nothing to deserve.
