Athletic Bilbao vs Manchester United

Hmm, i think next time the front office sorts will make sure not to call them Bilbao if we play again.

Manchester United have upset the Spanish team they play in the Europa League tonight – by calling them ‘Athletic Club Bilbao’ on their website. The Reds received a ‘terse’ complaint from officials of the firecely-proud Basque side who say they are only known as ‘Athletic Club’ – and demanded ‘Bilbao’ was removed. A Reds source said: "I think they have a bit of a sense of self-importance. We put Bilbao on the website so our fans would know who we were playing. It was in the ticket section and we didn’t think anything of it as that is how they are referred to in all the papers. "They sent a pretty terse email and called the switchboard to complain. They said ‘we are only known as Athletic Club’ so it was changed."

Athletic Bilbao, I salute you. Impeccable football, great fans. I've always admired them as a club because of what they stand for but now I may have to follow them a but more closely. Fantastic
 
The most frustrating thing about this is that tomorrow in work it'll be the United fans that are annoying more than the berties.

What a load of rubbish. We were all confident on here of a good chance and with SAF claiming he knew what went wrong etc. I certainly don't recall loads on here posting negatively or doubting even. Most saw it as another crack.

The players are arsed. They are just being totally outplayed again. You're kidding yourself if you think Ferguson and the team did not want to win this trophy.

All this can't be arsed his total bollocks.We are just not good enough this season in Europe.But if it gives comfort keep on saying it.

Midfielders? Can we even get the ball that far? Look at what their bloody right back did to our defence? Have we got anyone who can dribble the ball out of centre half like Martinez has been doing? They press our defence and it crumbles, Barca did the same. The whole team needs to change the way it plays and get used to playing out from the back with players, from back to front, who have great close control and who are comfortable with being chased at close quarters. We have a rubbish record against the Spanish sides for a reasons. Buying one or two players wont alter that record. Its a placebo.
 
At least bringing on Pogba will show him to keep his feet on the ground, to not be considering himself a superstar already
