I know, I heard they used to sneak potential new signings into the VIP Suite and show them the view of the Quays and tell them all of Manchester is just as pretty. Now all we have left is the view of the Stretford Arndale from the West Quadrants.

But that's an assumption made by us (fans).

The agent is supposedly in London, they ran a piece saying his preferred move is now Chelsea so everyone assumes the agent is there to speak to Chelsea and conclude a deal. However, if he was there to conclude the deal with Chelsea, surely the 'source' or that tweet would say the agent is there to speak to Chelsea rather than the agent is in London without specifying a club?

I don't think anyone knows what is really going on and we all will just have to wait until something official happens rather than believe 'sources' and twitter.
 
Yeah but why fly to London? The game isn't another five days. If its us, then why not fly to Manchester?

No Gaitan. Kagawa is our backup option. If we don't get Hazard, then we will sign Kagawa the next day.
 
It will be difficult to compete now that shitty and chelsea are interested. The time when we could cherry pick the best players who are set to go to the Epl is over. We have to try signing players before they actually start attracting the big sharks. It would also be a good idea to consider players who are great talent but for some reason are not valued by their short sighted club. I wont be surprised to see Sahin taking the Sneijder route

In all seriousness, think Chelsea have got him. Kind of goes against all his talk about not joining for money though. God knows hows he decided on Chelsea on footballing merit when they don't even have a manager yet.

Exactly. For a player wanting assurances, it would be weird to go to a club that do not know who their manager will be for next season.

I do not see how he would fit into the Chelsea side. I just do not think he would suit them.

Would prefer him joinging chelsea instead of city and us getting Kagawa.
 
He could fit in very well a Chelsea. They could have have mata hazard and Marin in a 3 behind Torres. He'd get plenty of time in the number 10 role but also be able to swap wide now and again.
 
If Hazard joins Chelsea then I will honestly give up on us ever signing a player ahead of City or Chelsea ever again. The idea that a young player would appreciate Sir Alex Ferguson and the role he has played in many a young player's rise to the top is out of the window. The idea that a player would appreciate the size and history of United is out of the window. The idea that a player would appreciate the worldwide adulation he would receive is out of the window.

If Hazard joins Chelsea then the facts are, players want 2 boxes ticked:

* Are they a good team
* Can I win trophies there

If the above boxes are ticked by multiple clubs then money wins, pure and simple.

It is never our loss though. I would prefer a less talented player who wants to play for us than having a slightly more talented player who will possibly look to leave if a better offers come up.

I wish all players were like Scholes and Valencia.

Oh yeah, I agree with this. I never shed a tear on missing out on a target, well, except for Ronaldinho of course.

There #1 target seems to be Hulk though. They also have had bids for Lucas Moura rejected. So quite odd they want Hazard as well.
 
I'm still confident, Chelsea have yet to decide on their manager, the squad will go through a bit of an overhaul this summer and more importantly they have Mata, Marin in the number 10 position.

Also, a few months ago it was Spurs, then Shitty were dead certs, followed by Chelsea and only a few days ago i heard Arsenal were back in the frame too, so i expect things to change on a daily basis.

Unknown if he is or not. The L'Equipe twitter was taken from their newspaper report and not from L'Equipe twitter, that also said we were in for him as well and city were out of the running.

Before Roman bought Chelsea, we had the exclusivity of all players who wanted to play/stay in the EPL (apart from the odd men out like lets say Shearer).
