What's with the ever-present thumbs up? They've taught chimpanzees far more complicated sign language than that.

Today, I ate a chocolate I bought at the grocery store. It made me feel bad, as it was unnecessary.

How can a professional athlete let himself become fat like that, while simultaneously bragging about it on instagram, while the club he plays for, one of the biggest in the world, cries out for a player in his position to step it up?

Do these people realize how fecking lucky they are? Seriously, if there's one thing I didn't need to see it's Anderson bragging about eating junk food while turning up for pre-season looking like 20 pounds of shit in a 10 pound bag.

a complete lack of discipline

Neil Ruddock (in)famously used to pour bottles of water over himself to make it look like he was sweating in training

in anderson's case its a complete waste of his potential

Hahaha you guys are hilarious.
You'd probably all kick Ananda Marchildon out of bed and put her on a bread and water diet.

Obese?

A grade a cnut

"I felt guilty eating some chocolate"

What the feck. When the feck did all you bunch of fannies become football fans. He's fecking fine you idiots.

He didn't look that fat when he came on as a sub the other day, unless in the last couple of days (with Fergie being away) he has teamed up with Phelan and gone out on a curry night or two...

"It's just his body type" ... Seriously, this is truly unacceptable attitude. Sell him today.

Sadly, I'm not blessed by being paid millions to play football and I'm still fitter than him :) Rooney usually carries some fat after breaks, but no one cares about him, because he always performs. Anderson on the other hand should count himself really lucky with all the opportunities he keeps getting. The least he could do is stay fit.

What saddens me is the Thought of him having little competition and incentive to improve. If one forget clev (whose relatively unexperienced himself) ando competition comes from a former league 2 player and couple of highly skilled nearly 40 yr olds. The fact that we are struggling to sign the players we want doesnt help.

Lets hope that kagawa can play deep. We may need it.

He obviously struggles more than most to keep the weight off but it doesn't have to mean he's unprofessional. A lot of players find it more difficult to keep the weight off during the season with the vast amount of carbs they're eating, and its not uncommon to put weight on over the summer when they're not playing, or when injured for a notable length of time which is repeatedly the case for Anderson.

Anderson wouldn't be still at the club after 5 years if he was as unprofessional as some of you make out. He wouldn't be able to get away with it with the amount of coaches monitoring what he does every day in training. Sure he looks a bit tubby now, but thats what pre seasons for, to get back into peak physical condition. Theres still a couple of weeks til the season starts remember.

the reason why i posted that link about Cantona was that after his 8 month ban he came back looking fantastic an in amazing physical shape

the weight is an issue - it shouldnt be an issue for a professional footballer

you'd have thought with Anderson having it all to prove at United he would have returned to pre season looking up for it physically

he should look at Giggs - he has completely evolved his game preparations with the yoga and I imagine diet to prolong his career and prepare properly

as Keano said Fail to prepare, prepare to fail

Take a look at his Instagram photos. If he has slow metabolism or whatever, he shouldn't eat hamburgers and steaks at all. That's the least you can ask from a player in his position.

Its ironic that a person with a nic called donut should be give dietary advice on a football player.:lol::lol:

There's a difference between looking a little out of shape and actually looking a bit fat. This is a lad who HAS struggled for fitness many times in the past and his inability to complete 90 minutes in a game has been a constant pain in the arse. Naturally we should expect him to sort his fecking weight out.

Im not really seeing what your all seeing

He clearly has broad shoulders and wide hips which make him look "fat", but i am pretty damn sure his body fat % is alot lower than what the most of us have.

When he joined us at 18 he was still a boy, but his body has slowly filled out into a larger boneset which makes him seem like hes put on fat. In reality he has just grown up in the club.

When he came on the over night he hardly looked out of energy, so thats all we need to worry about. Yes the injuries are a big problem but his body shape is not.

You don't have a face as fat as he has without being fat. Also he has man boobs.

look at the photograph on the plane and spot the difference between Anderson, Hernandez and Bebe

interesting that Bebe missed most of last season with a bad injury and has still shown the desire to stay fit. Its also interesting that Bebe has had a very promising pre-season

anderson needs to shape up or he will waste the 'potential' we've been banging on about for 4 years.

That is simply shocking.

Words fail me.

Did the other picture shock you where he was in a tighter shirt and sitting next to Scholes, taken yesterday?

the point is, and pardon the pun, but this is a big year for anderson

his career has stalled the last few years because of injury and he has talked himself about the knee problems he has suffered himself

I'm not doctor by any stretch but being overweight which he clearly is can't be helpful for his stamina/pace/resistance to injury
