Anderson

He played a good cameo. Gave us a bit of thrust while we were chasing the game. In retrospect, I also feel he'd have battled more with Fellaini than some of our players, who rather cowered in the face of his physicality.

We could do with Anderson making it. For the first time, I actually properly grasped tonight what people are saying about needing some strength in midfield.

Still, I suppose we're not going to come up against a player like Fellaini every week.

We didn't play Fellaini in midfield, per se.

He needs to be given a proper crack at it. If not then get rid. It's that simple.

WTF?

People really need to get over this, he isnt FAT, he is just broad.

He has developed alot since he was 18 and a boy with us, he is a man now and has filled out.

He has looked very good indeed. And he can play even better. Seriously our most frustrating player.

I still think he can make it and be a star for us.

Although I said this last season too

And I guess the season before that too.

Anderson will be very good if he gets more involved.

I think he just needs a run in the team alongside Cleverley because he plays as the deepest midfielder and with the most defensive responsibility alongside him, whereas he plays a completely different role with everyone else. He's clearly comfortable playing this role and too much chopping and changing while he still has those inconsistencies in his game might just disrupt his game a little.

he is playing well. just like the start of last season actually until he got injured. hopefully he can stay fit this time around.

Playing with Cleverley just seems to bring the best out of him. I remember last year how good he was next to Tom and then Cleverley got injured and we played Chelski and he seemed to lose all his bearings. I remember how sharp he was next to Hargreaves and I think he needs someone energetic next to him, next to someone slower or less mobile he Ando can't seem to get going. He's been superb today and I will put my cards on the table and say I want the Ando-Cleverley to stay together in the first X1 as long as they're on form.

Sorry, thought he was awful. Slow, heavy, poor touches. No where near top class.

Granted, he can play some lovely passes here and there, but that really isn't enough.

Very good in the first half, but looked exhausted when he was subbed. Needs to improve his fitness.

Thought attackingly they were excellent but defensively there was still a fair few problems that I don't think Fulham made the most off. I reckon a better side would cause some problems for them particularly on the counter.

What?!

Good in the first when he seemed to play further up then Cleverley but faded in the second. Offers us no presence when we are on the counter attack though. Worryingly our midfield looks very susceptible to the counter attack with Ando and Cleverley in the middle.

The lad can barely run these days! He just kind of waddles around the pitch, looking annoyed at everything and everyone, stumbling over the ball, then occasionally playing a cracking 50 yard pass before spending the next 10 minutes waddling again looking very confused.

He did a lot of good things and some bad. Hopefully the more he plays the more he learns to control the game. Also he and Cleverley need to be more defensively aware. At times they were just watching Fulham run past them.

He wasn't good today, sorry. Wasn't bad either though. He is getting there.

But he needs games and has the ability.

So many new faces, some players still look a little lost. Can't really make your mind up about United until October.

Apart from a couple of careless touches, I thought he was good.

He was very good, fitness/stamina an ongoing and worrying issue.

I think the different views here are simply down to Dembele looking like everything we want Anderson to be and people just wondering why not just replace him than keep waiting.

Best game for a very long time today. Looked calm and incisive on the ball, and his decision making was much better. Obviously the fitness is an issue, but performance wise today he was impressive. No idea what some of you lot see

Kagawa going off didn't help him as he lost that extra passing option. Definitely needs more fitness but definitely not a terrible game from him at all.

He did seem to tire though that might be due to lacking match fitness rather than his own stamina issues. Although because of the space ando and clev leave we're always open to the counter which makes the game quite end to end which isn't gonna help him either way.
