Manchester United vs Newcastle United

Because they're playing the B teams of lesser clubs in a far less important competition?

This newcastle team has the spine of their team in it, and still in compared to some others they've been impressive. They all seem very comfortable on the ball.

There we go, my commentator has come out and said De Gea hasn't been very convincing.

Yeah, no backflips or anything by DDG.

It's got a few decent players but far from their best. Scholes would have a field day against them. You can't compare this with Pool at Anfield in the PL.

We've played really well tonight, but our youngsters don't always play better, or have you missed the Carling Cup the last two years?

Why do TV stations always cut out the intruders? fecking idiots.

Because it'd be giving them the attention they want?

De Gea's been equal to everything Newcastle have thrown at him tonight bar that one goal.

Is the usual Joe Hart line.

Good win. Slacked off 2nd half, but a good run out for Ando, Cleverley and Fletch. Great experience for the young defence aswell.

We played well.
Ran out of steam towards the end and Newcastle threw everything at us.. the inexperienced back line looked under pressure..
But on the whole, good performances by many

plenty of positives.
Hope we get an easy tie. Would love to see the kids again

Anderson was never, ever discarded? ignorant commentators.

Tunnicliffe Sr. has got an unnatural amount of air time.

CBs did well but Fletch was shielding them pretty much the entire time. Butter was alright but the right back was a liability

Good win.

Lots of positives. Anderson, Fletch, Rooney, Cleverly all getting much needed minutes.

We were the better team overall although our young backline had a tough time with handling Cisse but that's expected.

Fergie with a big headache for the lineup against Spurs.
