Doesn't seem like we are going to get it any other way this season - it surely won't be dull!This team just continues to take the piss. Abysmal performance really from players like Scholes, Carrick, Valencia and Young. Smalling was very rusty and out of sorts too. Nonetheless, somehow we ended up with a 3-2 win after being 2 goals down. I don't know if its luck or if its the character of our squad..
Javier Hernandez is obviously the man of the hour. What a substitution Fergie made! All 3 goals came from him and he was pretty much the only player (maybe RVP, Ferdinand and Rafael) who came out of this one with reputation intact.
I wish we could do something about our defending though. Its clear to see that the Scholes/Carrick combination doesn't work. Both are too slow and the opposition just slices through us on the break much too easily. We need more pace and power in the midfield. When Cleverley and Anderson came on we were so much better in our penetration and closing down.
Great win for us and hopefully Rooney will have to miss the international friendly but come back for next weekend!
