Reading vs. Manchester United

Anyone got an English Sopcast stream? Hit me up

Just pains me to see Anderson getting injured everytime it seems like he is cementing his place in the first team. It just keeps happening to the lad. Gutted because he is a breath of fresh air to our static midfield.

Let's just state the obvious for the moment. If we can keep a clean sheet for the next 45 minutes we'll pick up the three points.

Then we can put the screws to Evans after the game is over and find out what the feck is wrong with him.

No one in the world could have seen that first half coming. Perplexed by the Jones for Ando, especially since Ando was playing a role Cleverley seems to be quite adept, behind the striker. Anyway, hope we can put them to bed in the second half - we want the goal that wasn't given back.

If De Gea would have played as bad as Lindegaard wad today, he would have dropped for many matches. Not sure if it will happen with Lindegaard though.

I don't get why players who've had a bad game dare to show such disrespect when coming off - hope Rafael isn't in the matchday squad for a few games to teach him a lesson.

Being unhappy is one thing but being a sulky cnut is another, just shake hands, sit in your seat and sulk once you've sat down.

You would completely leave out our best right back, one of our best players this season, because he was pissed off at being subbed off after 30 minutes? He doesn't need to be out of the team coming up to our most important game so far this season to teach him a lesson. Just talk to him after the game.

What a random game. Fullbacks have been shocking, defending from set pieces has been non existent, for all the crap they say on ESPN, they did make one good comment on what we do at corners with Evra. I really think the goalie would be better off without Evra there because as they said if someone really does block him then most times the goalie will get the decision, if the player just uses Evra though to block the gk then the refs don't seem to spot it as much.

That said in attack we've perhaps been at our best in terms of link up. I don't really get the point of Jones unless he's purely on for his height. In attack he'll hinder us imo because he always ends up playing a/m and he simply doesn't have the game for that.

The thing is for all their limitations Reading are a high energy team who press/work hard and I think we could have used someone like Clev instead of Jones who can deal with the high pace but probs won't get sucked in to over committing like Jones might. Still he'll help defensively.

Vidic looked no better when starting this season and I doubt he will come back the same player now on the wrong side of 30 after so long out. He isn't going to make a difference. I dare say we would be conceding more if his showings this season are anything to go by.

Vidic reinjured himself at the beginning of the season which is clearly why the performances were subpar and he had to have surgery again. To write off our best defender in the last decade just because he came off surgery is silly.

Evans is just fecking woeful at times. I'd just rather we used Smalling or Jones there because both are infinitely more talented.

If De Gea would have played as bad as Lindegaard wad today, he would have dropped for many matches. Not sure if it will happen with Lindegaard though.

Why?

Fergie doesn't seem to prefer Lindegaard out of the two. Lindegaard have been dropped before.

So, imagine if you just came home and missed the first half :s

Everything that's ever happened in football ever is being combined into one game. Expect us to win the world cup in the second half whilst being relegated due to match fixing and coming back from five goals down to lose due to two injury time goals from Reading.

Guys, keep in mind the goal that wasn't given was marginally offside.

Rafael is bound to be upset coming off early but its the right decision. I think players reacting like that it ok I remember both Rooney and Ronaldo doing the same, some of our fans think our players shouldn't react. It hurt him to come off nothing wrong with showing that.

For some bizarre reason both ESPN and Fox Sports are showing Arsenal-Swansea instead. Cnuts, by the time I got a stream up and running we were 3-4 and both Rafa and Ando off

Disagree with Rooney being central, we have no winger on the right side, and we would lack width.

Jones will have to play behind RvP, or maybe Fletcher will be pushed up.

Marginalizing our best player in the process makes little sense.

It's about principles, its one of the biggest gripes I have in football.. shunning the manager. Regardless of whats happened, if you've got an issue.. like you said, do it after the game or sulk once you're on the bench. To come off like that is just prima donna-ish... fact of the matter is Fergie probably took him off cause of the fear he was going to get sent off rather than believing he was the worst performer that half, so no need for the OTT reaction.

Its not like our defence is great regardless of personel, no matter what combination we play we are leaking goals, so yes I would leave him out but Fergie will probably overlook it as he's very mellow these days.

The change in comp may be a good excuse to bring DDG back and then give him a run of games

What a game this has been. Fair decision to bring Rafa off considering he was on a yellow, didn't really do much wrong. Caught out by a diving bastard. Frankly any of the back 5 could have been subbed off.

Good to see we're being clinical though!

Jones has been brought in to shore up the defense. At least that's what I think. He will be the deepest of the 3 midfielders, with Carrick and Fletcher moving a bit upwards.

Where was last time SAF subbed someone in first half? I don't even remember it and I remember many players who have played worse than Rafael, in fact even today he wasn't our worst playet, not even near.
