Manchester United vs. Newcastle United

Seriously, we're getting bossed around by this Newcastle team.

I know we're sick of hearing it but our midfield is shocking, especially when our wingers are out of form.

Our midfield options are fantastic according to the manager.

Idiotic from Smalling there no idea why he pushed the ball into the channel

Every season there's a 2 or 3 game nightmare sequence. Looks like this is it.

Giggs and Scholes may not have been directly responsible for the goals (though I'd like to know where Giggs was for the 2nd) but it's clear everytime they play it has a negative effect on our performance. The movement goes, nobody tackles, the tempo is slow, despite all this, give it two weeks, they'll start together again.

I'm not sure how to react.

We are getting outplayed at home by a midtable side who have some of their key players unavailable due to injuries and suspensions....

We've been the better side, happy with that first half. Result will come. Come on the reds!

all we can do is run down the wing and cross it in - there is no play down the middle - its so boring and awful.

What can we logically do here? The bench is non-existant.

Buttner onto the left wing? Tunnicliffe and Cleverley into the midfield?

I don't think he seriously believes that does he? I guess our midfield options are good when everyone is fit and on form, but that's never the case it seems.

I know I might get slated for this, but I can't stand watching Carrick play these days. Offers us next to nothing offensively and defensively.

Can pick out a good pass on occasion.

This is a load of poo at the moment.

Scholes and Giggs off for Cleverley and Buttner? I really think that's the best we can do to try and win this game, which is shocking as you wouldn't even say that's more attacking really.

I'd say we've kept the ball more but nothing really dangerous. NEwcastle look much more threatening when they attack
