Berbatov | Fulham player

Would be on the rare occasion since he never really outperformed against us for Spurs

His hand waving, hissy fits and berating of teammates is really reaching douchebag proportions. Wonder how long before someone gets in his face.

I completely agree, his reaction to mistakes was the epitome of arrogance...maybe he should have put that arrogance to better use here

Against City he kept possession well enough and kept the ball moving. You can just tell he has that little bit of class that most of his teammates lack. But that being said, with a player that has an entire team built around him, that is allowed to roam all around the pitch with no defensive responsibility, he really didn't create enough. One time, he had the ball in the final third and I think Ruiz was making a good run but Berba gave the ball away cheaply with a bad pass. Ruiz didn't raise his arms, he tried to win the ball back and help the team.

I mentioned this the other day on the match-day thread. His teammates must hate his on-field histrionics.

Not the player you would want in a relegation scrap that is for sure. Although he wasnt great in tense games when chasing a title either.

Probably why he excelled at Spurs and in his final season at Leverkuen. No pressure.

I said it when he was here, that if there's such a thing as crowd skills, he has the worst I've ever seen.

His shirt message and the constant yelling at players makes me think he is a feckin tool. He is the one who signed on the dotted line and knew what Fulham had at the time.

I guess no other team wanted him and this is a stop gap move to a bigger English club. Everton look like they could use another striker.

On another note, I expect him to get a nice little cheer this week in the Cup game.

What the feck? Man missed a fecking plane to stay in the Prem.

He wouldn't fit Everton at all, Moyes requires all his players to be aggressive and hard working, Berbatov doesn't fit that. He's such an enigma, clearly one of the most talented players in the league but having him in your team means you need to play his way. He's not an ideal lone front man, but he doesn't really put in enough graft to play behind one either. At least he's found a club that will endulge him, he'll score plenty there.

now that berbatov isn't sullying our shirt, i quite like him and his twattish behaviour.

it is funny because he acts as if he's above the fulham's of the world but that is his station. big fish, small pond, no pressure. i don't know why he's acting billy big bollix too much because when surrounded by quality he got found out bad.

He is not doing himself any good with being asshole on the pitch, Fulham are closer and closer to relegation zone and are in awfull form, I'm sure he won't get much love from the fans with that kind of behaviour.

@vdsar1970: “@thomaswebb1985: @vdsar1970 you a Berbatov fan? He's one of the best footballers in the Premiership in my opinion.”Strange player and person

VdS isn't much of a fan, it seems.

Just saw that too, was an odd reply i thought, but i suppose there is no point beating around the bush. Perhaps Berbatov didnt have a great relationship with the rest of the team?

What did you except? VDS is Dutch, Dutch people are known for their straightforward attitude. A lot of Dutch women are arrogant and too masculine as well (or maybe I'm hanging around with the wrong women).

Rooney posted on his FB that he was looking forward to welcoming him back to OT.

On the pre season tours he always seemed to get along with the lads.

Yeah, I'd agree with that - he never seemed to have a problem fitting in. I think with Vidic, Evra, Nani (despite their on-pitch whining and moaning) and Ferdinand in particular.

Nah, Rooney's just showing a bit of courtesy, it's obviously Edwin who nailed it! Everyone hated him over here, we all know that and other bollocks.

Anyone else feel a bit sorry for him today? I mean... he has to play in the same side as Steve Sidwell...

Yeah it was clear he was a cut above the rest of the team, it was great seeing him in action again. When he pulled that ball out of the air by the halfway it just reminded me of his class. Theres not many with a better technical game than him in the prem.

when he brought that ball down 'dead' it was magnificent.

He is obviously too good for this team he is playing in...but his 'superior' attitude is not going to help them fight relegation. He is a bit of a fair weather player. He wont be with them should they go down...will probably end up in Italy or summat.

I think his shit lazy attitude infects the whole team - that must be one of the most spineless efforts ever put up at OT.

It was almost as bad as Arsenal's 'let's pass it around between Mertesacker and Arteta and not go forward until the 93rd minute' tactic.

Maybe, though Berba wasn't the worst Fulham culprit in the effort stakes today... and he certainly tried to create something when he was on the ball, the only problem was that, bar Ruiz, he was surrounded by utter, utter, shit.

It's been a while since I've seen a side come to Old Trafford and be that non-combative. The game was so tame, that even Paul Scholes himself couldn't bring himself to properly do someone.
