His films always seem unbearably smug.
It is really good. The cinematographer Adam Arkapaw also worked on Snowtown, which I thought was an extraordinary film. Thematically they are two very similar films but with completely different outlooks.
Didn't like Snowtown, thought it was dull.
It's grimly compelling, a beautifully shot horror story.Been meaning to get round to watching Snowtown and I gather its based on a true story.
Part of the appeal - it's done in primary school colours to hype up the artificiality and create a cartoon feel. The costume and set design really were a distraction for me, though.

Probably a sense of redemption or hope for humanity.I agree but it was missing something for me. Not quite sure what.
You lack the ability to watch anything that's 'old' man without making pointless comparisons with modernity. It gets tedious. Like Macbeth's sooooo dated they've got swords instead of AK47s.It's dated.

I enjoyed Mama. I do agree with your criticism, though.

How did earn it's score of 2?
It had one or two okay jokes, plus you've got to reserve the 1s for real, freshly squeezed shit.
I think I'll watch inception tonight.
