Desperately wants to be ITK
Third top scorer in the Prem and only 4 off RVP
I don't know how Spurs can keep him now, Real surely to bid soon
If they had a decent striker his assist rate would probably triple aswell, he makes the chances it's just that nobody else can fooking score.
Seeing that Lennon has quite a few assists, that seems like bullshit too me. If Bale wasn't so intent on shooting the whole frickin time, maybe he would assist more - but as a result, he would probably score less.
This
Spurs are probably by definition the biggest one man team in the league

As usual, Bale put in a few excellent crosses last night but our striker was nowhere to be seen. Bale and Lennon have different ways of getting the ball into the box.
Lennon also has the option of passing the ball to your best player and goalscorer.

If you are playing Defoe against Samba, maybe crosses aren't ideal, whereas Lennon's mazing runs are more suited to the striker's style. It's a somewhat lame excuse. What is the point of crossing if there are no players in the box? You either assist or you don't - Downing is one of the finest players in the league then, if you go by creating chances, and surely, Suarez is scoring his fair share this season.
Bale is a very talented player, just don't make too many excuses on his behalf. He needs to work on his assists.
He averages 4.9 shots a game, more than anyone else in the league bar Suarez. It's not much of a surprise his scoring stats have increased when he takes on a shot most of the time, and being played through the middle.
Except he wasn't crossing into Defoe playing Samba but Adebayor playing against Collins and O'Brien.
Lennon' assists have also dried up recently because our 2 strikers have decided to contribute 6 goals between them over the past 3 months.
But I'm sure you got my point. Collins is excellent in the air btw! He only has one, a single numero uno, assist this year, which is abysmal. He doesn't figure in the top assist rankings in the latest years either. It is something he has to work on!

How's them lemons naysayers?
I think he'll stay at Spurs. Don't think he'll be sold anywhere in England and although he's said he's like to go abroad, I can't see him going to the French league. That leaves Real and Barca where a lot depends on Mourinho and Ronaldo's situation. Levy will probably not get his asking price and Bale will stay.

Thats hogwash he puts in some fecking cracking crosses, its aint his fault the likes of Adebayor are wank at converting them.
Ronaldo averages more shots than most as well, in fact, since he started becoming world class around 22 years old, the argument (his shots per game stat) has been used to play down his success many times by haters...
He is not in the same class, but he is doing extremely well now.
I'd love to see opinion on here if he was United player.
If the somewhat silly rumours of Ronaldo coming back to Old Trafford turn out to be true, Real's sale of Ronaldo would probably be partly to fund a move for Bale as a replacement. Bale would fetch £40-50m at the moment (on current form definitely closer to the top end of that). Ronaldo would still sell for more if we were at all able to buy him (£55m+) and of course we'd have to sell a top player like Nani to have any chance at funding the move.
I'd be over the moon if we somehow signed Bale. I don't think this would look at all bad next season:
Exactly the same squad bar:
Nani Sold
Scholes Retired
Bale/Ronaldo Signed
Lampard Signed on a Free
Fabio Returns
... We can dream.
