That was actually a pretty good interview between Jose and Paddy, a little unorthodox but Mourinho seemed to enjoy it.
Nani cannot be on the right. Wellbeck's most likely there but Giggs is an outside possibility.
I cant help but feeling Rooney isn't 100%. His work rate, passion and willingness to win is second to none. I would never criticize guess Ferguson but surely Rooney has a knock.

This. This is the one thing i can think of, bring on rooney, and possibly kagawa (not sure if he's on the bench) and blow them open in the last 20-30 minutes on the counter attack.
So your opinion is that we have 5 attacking players Carrick, Cleverley, Nani, Giggs and Welbeck who are all great with the ball at their feet and we're going to be playing long ball to van Persie? You don't think a more defensive line up would make more sense if that was the plan?

Nah...we can't leave Ronaldo one-on-one with Rafael. Sure Nani is decent at tracking back but he's our second best attacking player in this game and I wouldn't want him spending too much time our third which is what he would be doing if he was helping out on Ronaldo.
Put him on the left and give him some freedom to hang back occasionally when they have the ball.
Wellbeck needs to be helping Rafael out.

100% my thoughts as well, the line-up back in April was ridiculous and the game was lost from the very start. Giggs, Scholesy, Park... now Giggs. I just can not fecking believe this.

I reckon Giggs is in there to create. He is one of the best around for doing something mental to make a goal. He may occasionally be wasteful but if one of those chances pays tonight it could win us the game.

The positives are that Vidic starts and we have a feck load of quality options on the bench if something goes horribly wrong or if we need to start controlling the game.
