Stoke City vs. Manchester United

Stoke have been struggling this year, and seem to have lost their usual style.

That and only scoring a tiny amount of goals means they're there for us to monster.

VP and Rooney up front. Nani and Valencia on the wings, get into them from the off.

Rooney RvP/Hernandez up top with Nani, Kagawa on the wings and Carrick-Clev in the middle should be perfect. Solid in the middle and creativity from the wings.

Expect this to be tough. I know they've been crap but with Wigan, villa and even Sunderland (based on last week) are looking resurgent so they need to start scrapping. If the players go out slightly low on confidence and even remotely complacent it'll be very difficult so we need the attitude to be spot on today.

Basically to me it's all about whether we can put the last few weeks out of our minds, focus on winning our title back and play properly.

3-1 to us I reckon.

Hopefully we just set up to play our own game. If we do that we should be able to win this game fairly comfortably (provided we actually show up in the mood to play). Only thing I'd possiby do is put jones on the park in place of Cleverely or maybe rafael to give us that extra tall to counter them. Though playing rafael will cause them all sort of problems as well.

Massive game this. 4 points at Stoke and West Ham would be good enough as that leaves us with only needing two wins and home games left against Aston Villa, Chelsea and Swansea.

Yup 4 points over the next 2 games would be good enough but no win today and the pressure really would be on us ahead of the West Ham game.

Win the next 2, watch City draw to Tottenham, and then nicely wrap it up at Old Trafford v Villa that I'm going to.

That'll work :-)

With the backup of winning it at The Emirates, although I'll be incognito in the home end!

Stoke Starting XI vs Man Utd: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross (c), Huth, Wilkinson; Shotton, Whelan, Nzonzi, Adam, Walters; Jones

Substitutes: Sorensen, Palacios, Owen, Whitehead, Kightly, Crouch, Jerome

A win here and then on wednesday we can go into the West Ham game at a potential title chance if we do win.
4 points would only be needed then which we can't mess up. Please make it happen.

MUFC; De Gea, Vidic, Evra, Jones, Ferdinand, Kagawa, Carrick, Valencia, Rooney, Hernandez, van Persie.

No Rafael or Nani? Great team otherwise

I expect to be bored to death. Good thing I have football to play myself.. Might lighten my spirits. Hell knows could be a good game.

It'll be interesting to see how that lines up...Kagawa CM? or Jones CM and Valencia RB?

............de Gea
Valencia Rio Vidic Evra
........Carrick Jones
Rooney........... Kagawa
........RvP Hernandez

Are we now going to have kagawa in midfield or will it be rooney in midfield?

No Falcao?

Rooney, RvP and Hernandez should mean some chances/goals created hopefully. Hope we don't get outnumbered in midfield with just Carrick and Kagawa though. Oh and Vidic being back

no Rafael, damm you Fergie. Fantasy footy team takes a hit!
