West Ham v Manchester Red

Ups, downs, and a bit of disappointment in the end.

Not as much disappointment as could have been, mind.

Hernandez should have come on much earlier IMO, for Rooney, and someone else off for Giggs, Jones maybe, he was well off game today.

We always make it hard for ourselves!

13 points clear with 5games to go, with City having a game in hand.

If they can manage to lose at Tottenham, we'd win the title with a win v Villa though!

The one time we looked interested was when we were down. Both times that we equalised, we completely lost any tempo. Why can't we play that way without waiting to go down?!

Sitting back just doesn't suit us as a team. We are at our best when we go a goal down because attacking is in our nature as a team, we hardly know any other way.

Its not so much the result its the incredibly shit football we seem to be playing lately.

If you expected us to play well today then you are setting unreasonable expectations. Mid-week game at the business end of the season away from home at a classic 'game raising' club during the evening. We were never going to play particularly well and this was never going to be an easy win. WH are also in good form.

Height! FFs for the tenth time.

Should have taken Rafael off, dropped Jones to rightback and put on Chicha up -not rocket science.

Sure that would mean Giggs and Carrick in the middle but west ham dont play through the middle.

If someone had said we'd get 4 points from Stoke and West Ham away in August, you'd have all taken it. We were poor today and still managed a point.

It was a tactical shambles, because I've no idea what Phil Jones and Wayne Rooney were doing today. Neither seemed to change as the game went on so it almost seems like they were playing out to their instructions...but then again Rooney did get subbed off which suggests otherwise.

Another week, another one man midfield. But in contrast to the usual moaning on here, thought Valencia was mint today, Kagawa drifted in and out but when on the ball he was generally class, Carrick was meh at times, but sprayed the ball around well enough.

It's an okay result on paper, but the players just didn't do enough to merit any kind of praise today and that's what leaves me disappointed.

Explain that one to me Man-United. If City lose on Sunday they'll be 13 behind with 5 to play.

Good result tonight not a bad point when the dust settles.

Tactically fecking inept.

Story of the season. A load of good/quality players thrown together with absolute no tactics.

This current team, in comparison with other United teams, is very very average.

I fear that SAF simply didn't take off Jones as he didn't want the media to feel he was admitting he got his tactics wrong. I'd rather we'd start playing a lot more through the middle with more incisive play. Nowhere near enough of it, an our wingplay has been utterly shit this season.

How about us turning up for the full 90 at any point since the Madrid match?

What would you be saying if Hernandez had of nicked the winner, which he very well could have?

I hate hearing rubbish like this.

Put away the panic button, please. We're still on track to hold an 8-10 lead over City after the final whistle is blown in mid-May. Is that not good enough for United supporters?

The result isn't that bad. 4 points from Stoke and West Ham away in the space of 4 days is a very good return but it's just the way we went about dropping points and the rubbish subs just make it so frustrating.

Of course it is. I'm not angry at the points difference, I'm angry at how shit our performances, tactics and player positions have been the past few weeks.

Allardyce is such a moany cnut, he's another like Pulis that's always bitching about officials and gets no shit for it.

Absolutely. This team has bucketloads of talent. We're just utilising it wrong.
It's not what you have, its how you use it.

I thought - looking at the last half hour, that we could well have won that. We had plenty of good play. Yes, there were patches of the game when we were weak but there was some decent play too. It was just the usual story of a lack of incisiveness coupled with good goalkeeping and defending from the Hammers. If you combine that with the whole Jones oddness and bringing Giggs on and taking Kagawa off, then we just come up short. But not by much. So, onwards and upwards.

What's this fecking fat toad going on about? If the ref did his job, they'd be down to 10 men in the first half.

I can't believe Fergie is friends with this caveman.
