Arsenal vs. Manchester United

I think RVP will score two more and get a hat-trick. Considering my recent predictions across threads, I wouldn't bet against me.

Getting it out to Nani more often would be helpful. He's got the beating of Sagna.

Ask any United fan, we would much prefer Arse in the top 4 than Chavski.

Some don't, some don't like the way they have been over RVP! That being said its understandable, we are more of a threat to United in the future than Arsenal.

Are the commentators watching the match ? What is this notion that Arsenal have been much better than United ? All the tackling and possession means feck all if you don't create chances and score goals

Hopefully will a stay more switched on in the second half. Have to say having not known how lacking in sharpness the players would be before the game am surprised we've set up so attacking. Could use Rooney dropping back more often to slow the game down. With a lot of our players on yellows I don't think we can afford an open game.

Le Saux on BBC:

"It was hard to see whether that was a penalty or not. Bacary Sagna came from behind and seemed to get the smallest of glances on the ball, but it was hard for the referee Phil Dowd to see that"

:lol::lol::lol:

Valencia just stood there when Rooney had the ball then, rather than making a run.

Valencia lacks a football brain!
Rooney was waiting for him to make a run but he stood still like a zombie. Even the players with artificial intelligence on FIFA13 would be making a run in that situation.

Jesus, what a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Played good after half an hour. Phil Jones makes me mad in midfield. Really should have scored as well.

That @rvp on twitter just posted this

@rvp: My powerful left foot into the left corner. Take that, Sagna & Szczesny.

Amazing

I think I'd prefer Chelsea to make top 4 because if they don't, roman will go mad with the signings.

Harsh to single out Rooney (though I know it's not just you who has)... I'd say crap fits pretty much all our players so far. Even Carrick's passing hasn't been great.

I think Rio and Evans have been fine. Nani has been promising, whilst also playing like a player who hasn't played in weeks. A little rusty, but always looks so much threatening than any other play in our squad.

Nani has played well the few times he's got on the ball. I really don't want him to leave.

For all Arsenal's huffing and puffing and general "we hate RVP" attitude and us being hungover for half an hour, we still created better chances.

These 2 posts are linked.

Nani = better chances

If I were a meercat I'd say simple!

Rooney dictating all of our play once again, heartbeat of the team.

Think he's been one of the better players but have been a bit annoyed a few times when he picked up the ball and had others run past him but instead of turning he just passed it back. Could argue he was just trying to slow the game a bit though tbf.

Main points...

-Crap match
-Goal was offside
-Never a penalty
-That was a beauty of a pen by RVP
-Nani is our best winger by a mile

And finally...

-I never, ever, was to see Jonny Evans being a hard man again.

Mr Graeme, it wasn't hard to see Walcott was offside for their goal or was it?

I think our defense hasn't looked overly organised (certainly the least organised it's looked in weeks), and both Rio and Evans have been guilty of their wonder hoofs... and Nani hasn't really done anything.

Linesman didn't really get it wrong on the goal to be fair. Given his angle, he gave Walcott the benefit of the doubt, which is what he's supposed to do

Put a ball on van Persie's head from 3 yards out.

Rooney by far our worst player today. Though almost all our players have been shit.

Arsenal are a joke, though I still prefer them to renties for that UCL spot.

Nani has been really good. Sure he's given it away some times but he's still been the only one on our team who's been our consistent threat. Letting him go and keeping Young and Valencia first choice is just wrong on so many levels.

BTW Evans was awful for the goal. He's been way too rash at many times today. Very poor performance from him. Goes in for tackles way too early and fast and if leaves us exposed at the back when it goes wrong

Never a pen? You sniffing glue?
