I'm glad it did leak. If he had announced it after the trophy celebration it would've killed the mood and felt much worse. At least now, OT and hopefully the players can give him the send off he deserves.

I can't see Scholes ever dealing with the constant media attention. He could be a fantastic advisor to somebody though.
If you could watch that stuff every week it would not be as special.
The fact that he rarely does interviews makes it worth watching.
He said he couldn't have picked a better week to retire with Fergie quitting and "Wayne Rooney asking for a transfer, it's great".
That's a point, mind you, he must know and realise that would be part and parcel of it.
It would be criminal for United to let a talent like that walk away and not find him a position in our coaching staff.
