He is a gem. Hopefully we use him though and he doesn't get itchy feet like our most recent other gems.

I don't think id be able to handle that, Morrison and pogba were bad enough but don't take away my adnan. I'm sure he won't, he knows how valued he is and he's determined to make it here I'm sure.

The best player ever.

Seriously I don't think that I was excited for a youngster as much as for him since Ronaldo. I hope that he's going to make here and become an important player for us.

I like the look of him and you can tell he's got talent, left right or through the middle he looked influential, not afraid to take responsibility, hope we see more of him over the rest of the tour.

He did fade in the second half with the changes but it was nice he got to play so long. He was the man most likely to make something happen, by a mile

looked great! really confident and skillful. wonder what position he will make his own

Wasn't at full speed by any means but still put in a good shift and will have done himself a lot of favours there. Hopefully he can build on it for the rest of preseason. If he can get to the level he was playing at the end of last season over these next few games then I think he'll make a name for himself on this tour.

What I was happy most was that he didn't just stick on the right wing and he got to play through the middle as well, really showed his versatility in this game.

Of course this match is completely different than to play in the premier league but he's shown that he can play against adults.

Good performance from him today, you could tell he wanted to impress and he has clearly managed to do that. He would have got Moyes attention after that game, so hopefully he gets a few more games in the tour and puts in similar performances

He reminded me of Kagawa today, wonder would a loan move be beneficial for him this season or should he continue his development here.

Our record with recent loans is dubious, much rather keep him and give him game time.

No, he's too good for loan. He'll do better by training with our first team and being involved with the squad.

Very good performance indeed.

How would incorporate him with Kagawa and Zaha?

I'd say Kagawa central, with Adnan and Zaha on either side of him. Both Adnan and Zaha prefer the right hand side I think, although today's performance shows that Adnan is capable of playing on the left also.

Played very well today, and has generally been excellent since he joined us. That said, I still haven't worked out just how good/talented he is just yet. I do think that there could be a slight tendency to get over-excited just as much with the type of player we have on our hands as opposed to the level of the player. His style is very continental etc, but I don't know just yet if he'd be considered a very top, top prospect for a player of his style across the board, like at a top German club or top Spanish club where there are many players in his style.

Like with Pogba, I was more certain there couldn't have been many better players in his style elsewhere in Europe at his age. I wouldn't be as surprised to see quite a few on at least a similar level as Adnan in his type of role.

Sorry if this sounds unnecessarily critical, not meant to be. I'm just trying to work out still what level of prospect we have on our hands.

Nonsense, Januzaj played in a continental u20 cup I think or something, and he won player of the tournament.

He wasn't reserve player for no reason despite being the youngest in the team. He's a magnificent talent.

Just reading Moyes full quotes on Januzaj and he sounds like he's really willing to give him a chance this season. Promising signs so far.

Any chance you could post them?

"I thought Adnan played well tonight and was a plus for us. He was the pick of the group. It’s always good when you give a young player a chance and he shows up, which I thought he did tonight. And the more he plays like that, the more opportunities he’s liable to get."

I was particularly pleased with the balance between taking risks and playing carefully from him today. At times for the U21s (and even moreso for the U18s) he's been far enough ahead of everyone else on the pitch that he can just take the piss. Today, he recognised a higher level of competition, but wasn't afraid to back himself at the right times.

Two things:

1) Laura Kane is a false advertiser - her profile picture is massively flattering.
2) How about we give Januzaj some proper first team exposure instead of doing that thing where we play players out of position.
