Bundesliga 13/14

Dortmund :( Bayern are just too good though.

Dortmund's injuries didn't help, along with that Mkhitaryan miss.

Klopp has been found out.

Maybe if he could spend anything near the money Bayern have then he might have a squad more capable of challenging. Even then it was a close game which could have went either way before the killer goal from Robben.

Bayern have been clinical. Their defending has also been admirable. That Neuer save, Boateng clearance, and Mhiktatiaitkitrian miss really sealed Dortmund's destiny today.

EDIT:
That third goal shouldn't have happened though.. Crap defending by Dortmund there.

Can happen if you have the best team of the planet in your league. Don´t kid yourself, Bayern Munich would walk the Premier league as well, especially given the shaky starts of the top teams. It was clear from the start that Dortmund could only challenge when they manage to win the direct fixtures vs. them and despite not having a single starter in their defense and without their most creative player, they actually managed to play on eye level vs. them. How many English sides do you fancy vs. this formation under these circumstances? Imagine United going against them without Carrick, Vidic, Evans, Evra and Rafael...

You should have seen us spank 10-men Crystal Palace ;)

Going to be difficult for Dortmund to pick themselves up from this. Not only did they get beat, they got beat playing some good football. The consistent loss of quality players was always going to hurt them in the long run. Very difficult to see a way forward from here.

Deceiving scoreline really. Dortmund had the better chances but weren't clinical, and missed those chances at key times. Robben's goal finished it off. Was always going to be hard for them with so many injuries. Ribery and Schweinsteiger, as good as they are, are pretty easily replaced for Bayern, considering their depth. For Dortmund though, any injury in defence is felt.

Hipster love is forever ( or until the next flavour of the month comes along....)

Flavour of the month, despite being the first team to consistently challenge bayern as a top team for more then a season? There's no doubt that he's a great manager, and they're a very good team. You can't read too much into the loss today because they had so many injuries. Remember when we lost 4-1 to City a month or 2 ago? Yeah, United's apparently been found out too.
Also I don't think anyone is saying he's the best manager in the world? He's one of the top ones around definitely, along with Pep, Mourinho, Ancelotti and Wenger probably.

League gone, soon to be knocked out of the CL. Hardly the stuff of a man being portrayed as the best manager in the world a few months ago.

And you dare to talk about "flavor of the month"!

Over the last 3 seasons, Klopp has won the Bundesliga twice, the German Cup once, and finished second in the CL. All of this, he acheived while selling key players, and hardly spending a dime compared to the other top clubs.

But yeah, he's shit now.

Why would anyone predict Dortmund to go out of the CL with a performance like today? Thought they were really good, arguably the better team for 80 minutes and if they play that way, they should beat Napoli on Tuesday. Will be tough to get their confidence back, but I trust Klopp. They need to finish their chances better though.

charleysurf just embarrassed himself big time with that comment.
:) is it my fault that the hipsters are so fecking sensitive? It's not as though many of them are slow to criticise certain managers closer to home!

The Lewandowski early miss played a big role in the end. For all the chances they create in matches, their conversion rate isn't impressive.
