Fellaini and Cleverley will have their work cut out to produce a midfield masterclass that we witnessed tonight. In fact, the right wing bore fruit too since Valencia succeeded in getting past his man most of the time and it was great to see. I hope Moyes does persist with this team because it has the right balance to it.

Reading through the first few pages of this thread
why was a so worried about Giggs, he had a cracking game.
Superb game. The arrogance and swagger. The inventiveness of the passing. Getting to the ball first and killing the opposition on the counter. Giggs with an incredible performance making the easy things look easy. Nani making the easy things look hard the hard things easy. Young for all the pace he has seems to still love running straight into the opposition instead of trying to take it around them. Anderson still ending fantastic play mostly from him by fecking it up at the last moment. It was just like the United of old.

Of course they are nowhere near the top teams in Europe but they aren't that bad. They did reasonably well against Donezk and San Sebastian and still should go through with a win in their last game (and without United fecking up against Donezk). They just shit their pants every time they face a top team, it's really weird. Today was just as embarrasing as their 7-1 loss against Barca 2 years ago. There's something wrong with the mentality of the whole club.
A brilliant performance by United made it all even worse for Leverkusen.
