This was actually noticed when Ronaldo played against us, in that he had a very poor 2nd leg up until Nani got sent off and then the game changed. Is it very possible that in the Premier league defenders or indeed players stick close to the main player? Is it because the games in Spain are more open therefore loads of space. If what you say is correct, then that could possibly be the reason as to why Ronaldo, Messi and even Costa now, are scoring for fun simply because players give them unbelievable amount of space?
I would say that teams in La Liga are more compact and organised than teams in the Premier League. You get more space in the Premier League - Fabregas and Cazorla have said this. Defending in La Liga is poor, but looking at national teams (England and Spain) reflects well on the state of the leagues. England concede a lot of space between the lines and look vulnerable defensively because of this, while Spain are better organised.
