Manchester United vs. Everton

The team and squad has an abundance of averagely talented players. This is just not acceptable at Man United.

We were fecking negligent in the summer and have kept poor players for too long. There is a sizeable list.

How many of our players would start for Barca/Real/Bayern/City? Very few, if any.

It's true that this is a side that needs a lot of work, the midfield is awful compared to where it should be, the wings are poor and we've got players at the back who are clearly winding down. That said, we've still definitely got one of the top 3 or 4 squads in the league and yet the performances have, on the whole, been well below par. It's nowhere near the time to start panicking or getting hysterical but questions must be asked as to why the likes of Martinez, Rodgers and Pocchettino have been able to build teams that have a clear style and are performing above expectations while we look completely incoherent despite having a much stronger collection of players and greater resources.

Awful, simply awful. Crossing was shit. Defending was shit. Midfield was shit. Wingers were shit. Forwards were shit. Subs were shit. Manager were shit. Everything were shit. Just shit.

Not even too depressed right now really. I expected a draw today. I honestly have no clue how Welbeck starts matches for this club. That chance he missed bloody hell.

He did play with Danny Welbeck for 80 minutes. It was his decision to do that.

Welbeck will never be a goalscorer, Hernandez is a better option but scores the odd goal here and there. So if Rooney gets injured or suspended, we are truly fecked as the RVP injury jinx has hit him finally

the only positive from this is the presure to take the title is off now. Just go hell for leather and win every game. Wellbeck should be sold...I said so. bring the loanees like Lingard back.

not the end of teh world...lots of games to play. But we have to finish in top 4 to attract top players.

the pressure to make the top 4 gets piles on though

Maybe we are getting all we deserve for not strengthening where really needed in past years and sad to say letting Sir Alex pick his successor.

How were the ball boys?

This is all a testament to Fergie, the players are not good enough. We've lost Carrick and that makes it even more glaringly obvious. We didn't deserve to lose, there's no Rooney for the next match, all our rivals have won/winning. Top 4 would be great this season.

Now let's see...which chance over the last 2-3 seasons are we talking about?

Waiting for Moyes to say it was a good performance now. Title chase over as far as I'm concerned, let's just trudge on and get a top 4 now.

Even that's nowhere near a guarantee. I'd certainly take top 3 at this point, and 4th is not going to happen if we keep playing at this level.

If we sort the midfield we will be fine.

I think some attitude needs to change amongst the veterans also. We seem to have forgotten the games is 90 minutes plus stoppage time. There is a definite lack of urgency about this team, a lack of a will to take games and win them right now. This needs to be fixed also.

We are two wins off 3rd, I know people are disappointed but I hope this is some sort of shot up the ass that we need.

Where have I heard that before. We might be lucky and get a Europa League place. The teams above us are not going to lose many games.

Fair enough.
I got a bit carried away I must admit!! Need to calm down!!

A bit... On a serious note, we are all disappointed with the result and the way the players played tonight. It wasn't great to be honest. However, what you need to do as a football fan of any club is to accept the fact that disappointing things happen in football. We might not like it, but it happens, and it is how we deal with it that makes us stronger and better fans. If we cannot accept defeat, then there is no point being a football supporter. Remember, expect the unexpected, that way you will not be disappointed. I have been like this since the days when Big Ron bought Robbo, and we won very little. I got used to it, just like a majority of us did here. Good luck mate.

Martinez being interviewed. A lot of dignity about him, not gloating but praising Oviedo.

Can we sign him next season? Martinez not Oviedo

I hope we can get top 4 this season, the team lacks quality. No wonder Rooney is lashing out, he is frustrated.
