Valencia------Cleverley---Fellaini-----Webleck

CMon Moysey, I know you want to

Come on man, where is the mighty Young ?

What I want:

---------Jones--Cleverley-------
Nani------Kagawa------Januzaj
----------Hernandez-----------

What Moyes will probably do:

-----------Giggs---P.Neville-----
--Valencia----Fellaini-----Young
---------------Welbeck------------

I'm actually going to this game. Last time I went we won 7-0, here's hoping I'm a good omen.

(Although the chances of us even scoring 2 are unlikely)

Still. Should be a good mid-table scrap. :(

Can't really ask for a game to come any quicker than this one! Wed night to sat 12.45!

Perfect chance to hit back and make things slightly less bleak? Or chance to dip even lower?

We'll give 'em a spanking even without RVP and Rooney.

Moyes' line-up:

de Gea
Smalling Vidic Evans Evra
Jones Fellaini
Valencia Kagawa Welbeck
Hernandez

Hoping to see Rafael, Januzaj, and maybe Cleverley or even Anderson getting a shot.

Ive said I cant see you not winning this one on the past 3 games so here goes.

I cant see you not winning this one, but it will be nervy

3-1 United.

I am being brutally honest here, I think Newcastle have a real chance of pumping us. I can see them scoring 2, maybe 3 and really, I don't know how we will score. That being said, we are still capable of beating them, I just can't see how given the situation.

I would go for something like this. We need something different, it can't get any worse.
De Gea
-Rafael---Evans---Vidic---Evra-
-Fellaini-Jones-Anderson-
-Nani---------------------Januzaj-
-Hernandez-

Really? Why is that? I know we haven't been great but Newcastle aren't anything special and we've still got a strong defence.

I think some are overreacting to be honest we haven't been great in our last couple of games but not exactly terrible. I think we'll beat them by two goals and I don't think they'll really trouble us.
Comfortable win for us I predict.

I feel they have some real technical players who have a good change of pace, the type that seem to always cause us trouble. I think they will control the midfield.

I am not saying Newcastle are better than us and I'm not overreacting, I still have hopes for this season but I just think they are going to come knowing they have a chance and our confidence is shot. And when those two things meet, it doesn't fill me with confidence.

i was sure you predicted tottenham would take points off us. that they "wouldnt lose 3 in a row" or something to that effect

Barnsley in 1997?

Nah, it was in 2010 against Blackburn and it was actually 7-1. I don't remember Blackburn scoring, I just remember goal after goal after goal from us.

This game wont be anything like that, but I am looking forward to going to OT seeing as I so rarely manage to get tickets.

Not looking forward to this game. Surely we have to react with a win soon, but with van Persie and Rooney out that will be extremely difficult. I'm never confident against any PL team anymore, just hope we can get the three points in any way, shape or form.

de Gea
Rafael - Smalling - Evans - Evra
Jones - Cleverley
Nani - Kagawa - Januzaj
Hernandez
Subs: Lindegaard, Vidic, Fabio, Fellaini, Giggs, Valencia, Welbeck
It just has to be the best team possible really, with a few players chosen for a tactical reason here and there. Obviously we have to get the job done against Shakhtar midweek, but this Newcastle game defines the phrase 'must-win'.
Smalling and Evans to combat Remy's pace, as he's such a livewire and give Vidic a rest after playing two games this week and after his poor performance on Wednesday. Nani, Januzaj and Kagawa behind Hernandez, so hopefully we won't play in straight lines, while hopefully playing a more fluid, progressive style of play. Hernandez instead of Welbeck, as he knows how to put a football in the net.
I don't want to predict. I don't care about the performance, nor do I expect a good one regardless. Three points is all that's needed otherwise I won't know how to react. I'll go for us to edge it, but it'll be a very difficult game.

Like always I'd like to see creativity and a dominating United not a reactive defensive one.

4-6-0(Similar as 08)
---------------------DDG
Rafael-------Jones------Smalling-------Fabio
--------------------Fellaini--------------------
---------Januzaj------------Kagawa----------
Zaha--------------Rooney---------------Nani

You're expecting too much.

You're expecting too much.

I post almost the same team with the same "hope we see some creativity" every match so I know what you mean.

I expect a 4-4-2 with RVP, Rooney, Young, Valencia, Fellaini, Jones and no Fabio/Rafael.

Rooneys suspended, and Rvp is probably still out so it seems unlikely!

I think of the Champions League as a nice reprieve from the Premier League this season funnily enough. I think both of us would happily take a 1-0 win against Newcastle - where we get absolutely battered - right now and hopefully follow that up with a free-flowing, positive performance against Shakhtar.

Front 4 of Januzaj, Kagawa, Nani and Welbeck/Hernandez please Davey.

If Cleverely still keeps his place it's a joke.

They may have a chance of a result but there's no way they'll control the midfield in my opinion. They don't even try and play possession football. They may press us but they'll mainly play on the counter judging from what I've seen so far.

I would like
No Welbeck or Kagawa on the left
Rafael to play
At least one of Nani/Januzaj

I'm going to say it now: Without our three key players (Rooney, Carrick and potentially RvP), I just have this feeling we will have a stormer and win.

Fail to do this, and I may spend the rest of each matchday this season curled up in a ball, cursing the day I made this wild prediction.

I don't care what line up Moyes chooses so long as Januzaj plays. Without Rooney & RVP he's the only one who can provide a spark of genius to light up what is becoming a hugely underwhelming season. Moyes wont do it of course - on the bench if we are lucky.

de Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Valencia Jones
Nani Kagawa Januzaj
Hernandez
Can't think of anyone to go next to Jones apart from trying Valencia there, we know we'll get nothing performances from the other options we have. In this, the game would come down to the 2 wingers performing and getting good balls into the box and making chances for Hernandez or getting a goal from a set piece, but even then we are missing our set piece takers.

I would have Cleverly in place of Valencia. Its just about decision time with Tom and I'd give him one more chance and at the same time give him a run in the side. Playing him and then dropping him game after game does him no good. The other alternative is Fellaini there but I think Cleverly is the better choice. Goodness knows what the future holds for Fellaini? Its a toss up between Nani & Valencia for the right wing spot and, on current form, I'd go for the latter. Smalling and Evans has to be the future unless Moyes brings someone else in during January so we might as well play them. We have to have settled combinations if at all possible. The only thing with that, however, is that Vidic is the captain so that might be an issue. Other than that its the best we can do unless RVP is fit.

Holy feck, it's catching on

Told you it was the future @Cina

Tricky one. Is Vidic up for two in a row with only a few days in between? Perhaps best to give him a breather - although this is not good for us long-term, be it said. If Vidic can't be relied on as of old, we need to do something about the pecking order. I'm going for Fellaini and Jones in the middle. Solidness over...yeah - what exactly? I just don't expect anything from either Cleverley or Ando these days. They're both better offensively, obviously, but I don't trust 'em. Keep it simple and tight - and depend on Januzaj and Nani to create something, cutting in. Chicharito will score if given enough chances.

Looks good to me.

If we lose or draw this, we'll have gone 4 games without a win in the league. Insanely shit form for any team, never mind Manchester United.
