Maybe take it easy with RvP now, but would start Rooney and hoping he plays striker instead of AM. Don't see the point in having just one striker in a 4231 like so many on here suggest. Play Rooney striker in a 4222 instead, simple as that.

What season was it when Rooney played up front scoring bucket loads? He was a beast, scoring headers for fun. As good as he is as a 10, I think he is a better 9.
09/10. I think people are to much in love with 4231. I would never play that against Cardiff at home. Keep our wingers as high up as in the 4231 but play two strikers please.

There is too much hype and certainty surrounding this game.
