I honestly think we will thump Fulham by about 4 - 0 and it will take the pressure of Moyes big time........If we somehow didn't get 3 points in this match then there should be riots outside Old Trafford to get Moyes sacked but I really think we will cruise in this one
I just don't have any faith in our ability to beat any side convincingly now, which is very sad. Fulham ship goals like no tomorrow and have very poor defensive shape, but It's difficult to see us exploit that with regularity and we don't seem able to sustain a high level of performance over forty-five minutes let along ninety.

The depressing thing is, even if we do lose to Fulham, I don't see Moyes' position coming under threat from the powers that be.

De Gea
Smalling, Jones, Vidic, Evra
Valencia, Giggs, Carrick, Young
Mata, Rooney or RVP

That's not the team I want....Far from it. It's what I fully expect Moyes to field

It is impossible to predict this one witht the current team form and confidence, a win/draw/loss can all happen, as dumb as it sounds.
Beating this Fulham side is really the bare minimum. They conceded 53 goals so far, lost their last four league games and look absolutely hopeless. Failing to beat them would be the very lowest point of the season so far and that's saying something.

I'd agree with you if we were last season but in this one I don't know what to think anymore, it's funny tbh.

This really should be a bit of a battering. Fulham are one of the worst Premier League sides I've seen, especially away.

That said, I still can't feel confident. We'll probably win but make really hard work of it and still play like shit.

If we lost but played well, then I could handle that as it would be an improvement to see us playing well. Losing has become part and parcel of the Moyes era it seems.
Fulham will have a proper go at us and overrun our p**s poor midfield. We will concede, no doubt about it.
The Moyes nightmare will continue but fear not:
'we played well, we just need some luck' David Moyes, FFC post match interview.

Wouldn't mind seeing this. Young and Valencia should be nowhere near the team anymore.

This.

I wonder how many times we will get to the byline..

Not against Fulham at Old Trafford. Playing well but losing against City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, even Everton can be seen as a sign of progress in this Moyes era but failing to beat Fulham at Old Trafford would be absolutely inexcusable.

EDIT: just to add some stats. Last season Wigan and Reading had the worst defensive record in the PL, both conceded 73 goals, 1.92 goals per game. Fulham conceded 2.2 goals per game this season. At this rate they'll end up around 83-84 goals conceded and that's Derby County 2008 territory.

I'd take a loss if it means Moyes is sacked immediately. As Moyes won't be sacked anyway, no point in wishing we drop points... 5-0 win and hopefully some confidence for the team before we go to Arsenal.

More than a win, I want us to show signs of playing good football.

Carrick and Fletcher provide the protection we saw from Luiz and Matic last night and would let those attacking players tear into Fulham

Christ we need a 5-0 or something to lift spirits to make a fight of this

This or a version of it with perhaps Kagawa in the 3, if Adnan is not ready, if i see Valencia and or Young I am hanging up my pro Moyes boots. If I see any form of 4-4-2 get it wide smack it at the nearest defender he can F UCK right off.

Indeed. I could understand (well, perhaps resign myself to) having Young in the last few games (he also did well in one of them) but there really is no possible explanation for having either of Young or Valencia in the starting line up against Fulham, unless Rafael is injured and we play Tony at the back. Hope Kagawa sees some minutes, but I doubt he will.

Seriously? That's insane in my opinion. To want the club, you support, to lose a game...under any circumstance, that is f**ked up.
I'm not Moyes biggest fan, I think he is out of his depth and dragging the club down but to say I'd take a defeat to have him sacked - no way.

It's one loss. A single one. Three points. If that is all that's needed to get him out, then yes, I'd take a defeat. This guy is seriously out of his depth at our club. IMO, we're not going to gain anything by sticking with him. He is simply not good enough in my eyes. The long-term gain is much bigger than the short-term loss in this particular case. I don't want to turn this into a Moyes discussion here, so I rest my case, but yeah, if it makes me a 'bad' supporter or spoilt idiot, so be it.

Yup and it's absolutely ridiculous that he's under no pressure to perform from our top management. Lose how much many he wants, he'll still be given time. Stupid strategy. There should at least be some targets that he has to meet else he has to go.

Will be an uninspiring win or a soul crushing defeat. Either way the result won't cheer us up any.

I don't know what we have to do to win but hopefully we can make it difficult for them. Big Moyesy will have them brimming with confidence.

Why is he afraid to play without width? A front 4 from RVP, Rooney, Januzaj, Mata and Kagawa could ping the ball around all day if he gave them the chance. Let Fellaini/Jones/Fletcher/Carrick worry about the defending and tell all the wingers to feck off for a holiday

Maybe Neville's constant insistence we have to play with major width on Sky has played on Moyes' decision to persist with it? He looks a man with no bollocks to me, so who knows?

This game has a defeat written all over it.
To be fair even if we win I doubt it will lift the spirits, we have to play with some passion, get some life back into this season.

Just know that Valencia will get a start. If we don't start with Rooney, RVP, Mata and Januzaj up front and Fletcher who has had the best performances as CM, I am going to jump in the camp of Moyes doesn't need another season to show his ineptness at his level.

 I wouldn't go that far, man. It has painfully dull performance but 3 points written all over it. Maybe a draw, which in fairness is just as bad as a loss because anything other than a win is shocking.

It's pointless coming in here to post what team I'd like to see nowadays, the problems run a lot deeper than just simply playing Januzaj ahead of Young. This is how bad it's got.

I would have said the same about Stoke, WBA, Sunderland etc
I can just see us losing, they are bottom of the league, René Meulensteen coming back, we are at home, confidence at an all time low, Moyes playing it safe. I just don't trust the team to perform.

Carrick and Fletcher sitting.

Mata, Rooney, van Persie and Januzaj interchanging and (hopefully) running riot up top.

Can it really be anything else?

We should win this one but goodness knows we could play the bottom 3 in the Championship right now and still lose. I'm going to hang myself if Moyes starts with the likes of Giggs, Valencia and Young.
