Fellaini has been far better than Carrick.
We don't really get forward quick enough for space to actually be behind the defence. By the time we get up that far, the other teams defence are fully set up on the edge of the box

Which is the problem when we don't have a forward player who plays their naturally. Mata and Rooney both drifting into the middle. An issue which was obvious the first time Mata played on the right. Now all our players seem to be on the right
What's the point in having two strikers if both of them want to keep dropping back into midfield so they can have the football?

Tim Howard is a good commentator, very fluid in his speech too. Seems to have really controlled his tourettes (not that he ever was ever severe with it).
We really need to keep mata in the middle, he's wasted out wide when he's so deep. If he was an advanced winger it would be okay, but he's not.

Sturridge has some skills
Yea, no pace in the counter is very worrying. When the opposition defense is set up, some of our passes becomes forced and turns over happens without no attacking comminttment from our midfield players.
Liverpool are better than us by a huge distance.
That's what I've noticed too. Every player controls it better, passes it better and seem fitter. They don't stop running.
