Manchester United v Olympiakos

Giggsy is the difference! If we had him on Sunday v Liverpool we would have scored! Giggsy is god

I reckon Giggsy is the one who set up the tactics, etc. Moyes got upset with him and told him, "If you're so smart, you do it then." And boy did he...

All we want to see is desire and commitment. We haven't seen it for the majority of the season, but it's there now. Let's hope it continues in the second half. Whether we go out or not, I just want to see the players playing for the shirt. Come on lads!

Think the ref's been poor. Plenty of little decisions I thought were dodgy, should've given us a second a penalty, and bizarrely can't seem to get himself out of the way of play.

Yeah, some weird decisions. Nailed on 2nd penalty. That tackle form Valencia right outside their box, no idea what was wrong with that either.

I swear to God, if anyone starts talking about who we're going to draw in the next round before full time, I'm gonna hunt them down and have a good talking to with them explaining that the match hasn't ended yet so you can't be too sure if we'll be in the pot for the draw.

I think I wished some evil things on the Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime who was spouting about winning the league with City in stoppage time. I still hate him.

 Wut? And how did you lot take the appointment of Benitez again?

What on earth has the appointment of Benitez got to do with you guys posting stuff about having no chance in the CL and giving up?

It's true though.
Oh it is for sure, the biggest reason we are so static is because the midfield usually takes 4-5 touches before a pass, stand around and can't run with the ball, and don't even look to do penetrative passes. Giggs in there has been passing it on right away and making runs all the time and it helps immensely.

Good thing is Olympiakos have to open up at bit more now, there going to have to take risks, we can do them on the counter a bit more in the second half.

Bit of desire from the players tonight, not before time. Particularly Van Persie looks like he trying more, even taking away his goals. Nice to see signs that the Rooney-Van Persie partnership can actually work as well. On a side note, how the hell is Valencia still on the field with his eye like that?
We need 2 more goals as I can them scoring just we done just get 1 as moyes may sit on that which could be scarey. Score 1 more then swap valencia for januzai or before.

Big half for Moyes. His natural thought will be to sure it up defensively and try to hit them on the break or go into extra time.

He needs to do the opposite and go for a third and fourth. We'll see.

Shut your fecking mouth Carragher. You sound like shit with your disgusting Scouse tones. Learn to speak without scratching on the listener's eardrums, FFS.

They're level in the tie. No need for them to push it.

The players themselves will be cautious. One mistake and the tie is screwed.

Piss off, Lionel Pepsi

Forget the tactic, the technique, the desired they showed transformed all of them and made them better footballers. It's impossible to be like that for every game but there is a big improvement to be made in that aspect. A lot of football games are won by mental strength.

Yeah. Totally agree. We look like Ferguson's United tonight, the first time that we have all season. Playing with passion and daring. It is great to see. I think that having Giggs, as frustrating as he can be, playing us through the middle in midfield makes a world of difference to our dynamic. We really need to get a couple of midfielders who can play through the middle this summer. Valencia is OK as a side show just not as the main feature.

If you guys do overturn this you will have the Scouse getting worried. 4th is their spot, its written you will take it from them, its always the bitter rivals who take it when it does happen.
