Manchester United v Aston Villa

We'll win this, Moyes will claim that he has reached a turning point, buying him more time. We'll then get completely dicked by Bayern after which Moyes will claim that we weren't good enough, not sure what happened, next leg etc.

after 3 360mile round trip drives in the last 10 days of so, I'm pleased I'm not coming up for this one!

Hope we put them away comfortably, whilst resting the key men, as they need to be super fresh Tuesday to say the least.

How does anything think we can "comfortably" win this. We can't beat anyone comfortably at OT anymore. Villa's pace up top is going to be too much for us and I can see them parking the bus, letting us feck around crossing it in and then they'll counter attack us to death. Honestly think we'll lose this one too, the team is just dead.

Is correct. We'll beat Villa and lost the next 3. Bayern, Newcastle, Bayern.
We also play away to Everton after the second Bayern game. Realistically, this Villa game might be our only win until the last game in April, home to Norwich, after which we have Sunderland, Hull (both home) and Southampton away. Don't see us winning any of our away games to be honest, but I can see us improving our home record winning the 4 home games until the end of the season.

Or not, as the case will probably be.

It's amazing how Moyes has simultaneously managed to keep fielding a certain core of players, never play the same team, not know his best eleven and alienate some players by ignoring them altogether. Quite a feat.

---------Lindegaard----------
--Varela-Rio-Keane-Evra--
------Cleverley-Fellaini----
-Januzaj--Mata---Kagawa-
----------Hernandez--------

Just to make sure we don't have a false dawn this time.

 It's bewildering when you think about it.

We should win this, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if we drop more points. Probably looking at a laboured 1-0 or 2-0 win.

We should be beating Villa at home comfortably but, with the way this season has gone, I wouldn't even be shocked if they grabbed a win. Hopefully we rest a few players for the Bayern game.

-----------De Gea-------------

Valencia - Rio/Vidic-- Jones -- Buttner

------Cleverley--Fletcher---------

Januzaj-------Mata----------Nani

---------Hernandez-------------

Hoping for something like that. With only Jones, Buttner and De Gea starting against Bayern out of that team.

This is a game where I would like to see one of the younger guys get a place on the bench.

Villa can be very good on the counter. We should try to be alert defensively. If we make ourselves hard to score against, we have a good chance of getting the three points

1-1 or 2-1 United.

The most meaningless match of the season so far. Not sure what he's going to do at CB since Rio and Jones seem to be the only ones fit.

He's really under pressure now so he'll revert to what he knows best. We'll play two wide men (two men wide, each doesn't necessarily have to be naturally suited to that position) and it'll be cross after cross after cross. If I had a fiver and a wiling bookie I'd bet that all but one of our attacks come via a crossed ball.

I expect a Villa win. The only team we have beaten at OT in the league since for ages is Cardiff. Basically, any half-decent team is pretty much favourites at Old Trafford at present, and Villa fall into that bracket I think. Coupled with the fact that players are likely to be rested for Tuesday, I think they'll win. Their trio of Westwood, Delph and El Ahmadi will overrun us in the midfield and their front three will kill us with speed and strength.

I think Moyes will go for the following, with Bayern in mind....

De Gea

Rafael --- Ferdinand --- Jones --- Buttner

Carrick --- Fellaini

Januzaj --- Mata --- Young

Rooney
He'll give Buttner a run out for the Bayern game and also keep Valencia/Kagawa/Welbeck fresh.

-----------------De Gea------------
De Gea---De Gea---De Gea---De Gea
---------De Gea------De Gea-------
De Gea--------De Gea--------De Gea
----------------De Gea-------------

Bollocks to this resting shit...play the same team that will start against Bayern. Let the get a game together to get some sort of understanding.

Nani - Mata - Kagawa
----- Rooney ------

Would not be surprised at all if we lose

As crap as we are at the moment, this can't be anything other than a win. 3-1.
