That was cringeworthy. Why not just be silent. Now we keep him for another 10 years.

I missed the start what happened, did they just applause as he came out of the tunnel?

Our fans seem more concerned by being able to say we gave him a chance to other fans then the good of Manchester United.

Can you explain to me what they are applauding, I'm completely at a loss.

Because they support the club through think and thin and aren't little school-girls. We aren't exactly in a turbulent time are we in 7th position. Whoop de do, not in the top four for 20 odds years. Grow up and get some respect.

Thanks to @Truedevil from the newbies

That was actually a good move by Moyes. He did it in case he got booed, so the players wouldn't get booed at the same time.

Yeah, right. He did it to serve him self, and fuel his belief that the fans all love him. He doesn't give two shits about the players, as his comments have shown. Unfortunately the crowd were stupid enough to oblige.

Well done to the match going crowd, the fans won't make the decision and they should support him and the team no matter opinions

That and being "better" than other fans. I struggle to believe that everyone in the stadium is happy enough with him to applaud.

Okay I can kinda see the point a bit more of the banner if fans are still cheering Moyes, even if I still don't agree with it. That or the cheering was a response to the banner.

I'm actually speechless.

I'm more 'embarrassed' by that reaction than anything else.

Well played by the fans for applauding Moyes. I hope the team react to these wankers with the plane and put a performance in for Moyes.

Where is the self-awareness of the people in the stadium? That round of applause was an insult to human intelligence with all due respect.

I'm anticipating this backfiring big style.

And by that I mean that I can see the Old Trafford crowd perceiving it as being classless and embarrassing for United fans to be associated with this sort of drama and as a result I can see them booing it as it flies over. The booing will then be perceived as Moyes having the Old Trafford crowd's explicit support and it actually cementing his position further.

Called it.

His position is well and truely cemented now.

I give up.
