Even though you are right that it's not his job it would be nice to see him try to get a shot off a bit more often.
It's not his job to score? Practically any other centre midfielder on earth would've shot there. Pirlo, Alonso and all other deep lying playmakers seem happy to get forward and shoot. Carrick is scared.

I've always liked him. Been on loan twice this season. First at Carlisle where he scored a couple of spectacular goals, one after a mazy Giggs-esque run cutting in off the left, and then Yeovil in the second half of the season. He's full of promise. Good turn of pace and clever with his one touch play around the box. He might be more of a central player but I think he'll get most of his minutes for us on the left.
Can you blame them? Anyway too late now...
