"The squad is fine, we just needed a new manager" crowd were hysterical with vindication after the Norwich game. Well, the last couple of games have shown the real situation. We need a vast squad rebuild.
Why? Because Giggs cant motivate players who have absolutely nothing to play for in the final 4 games?

Not excusing all of our behavior today, but how the feck can a ref lose control over a end of season dead rubber match? There's nothing riding on this. Mike Dean is a shocking referee.

Dean has been awful today, in every way.

We on the other hand need a couple of changes at half

Shaw vs Januzaj is the only real highlight of the game for us thus far.

Pretty sure most were saying we needed an experienced, proven manager and a few new signings. Agenda much?

Yep. Replacing Moyes with a top class manager will be a step in the right direction but the impact will be fairly small unless we get rid of a lot of the dross in the squad and bring in some proper players.

This formation is utterly wank.

The sense of having two no 10s on the pitch and not having one of them actually playing as a number 10, leaving RVP completely isolated is utterly lost on me.

It is just a terrible formation with the personnel used. Kagawa and Fletcher have had little over 30 touches between them. Kagawa has a 70% pass completion rate. It is like we are playing with 10 men or something. Horrible game so far.

The lack of runs and movement is absolutely painful to watch. LvG is going to get them bollocks out within a day.

True, but I don't think many other managers would be picking Rio, Vidic, Fletcher and Evra at this point.

True! Also, I think those few players have too much influence in the dressing room. Its addition by subtraction really.

Just like when we got rid of Keano, RVN, Beckham etc. It allowed the younger players to flourish and the rest is history.

u21's in a final this Wednesday I think

Not surprising. We've a very important match for youngsters three days from now.

Also Giggsy :(

Final U21 may be for Wilson. Lawrence hasn't play for U21 that much this season.

You don't say?

If Lawrence can get a sub appearance and play on Wednesday then so can two other youngsters, why not take the chance to give them time? Spurs are winning we're out of Europe.

If Lawrence isn't starting on Wednesday then why not start him today?

No, actually most of the Moyes-out brigade kept repeating that we've ended 11 points off last season and this squad is all champions and that's Moyes that's single-handedly destroying our club, so no. 'Squad is fine, would be competing for title', etc.

That touch and cross from Shaw, lovely.

He must be playing today thinking 'I can do better than United'.

We are absolute dogshit. The lack of movement at times is embarrassing.

Watching Cities stream directly next to ours is slightly depressing I have to say. The contrast between the way they dominate the game and the way we stumble across the pitch is really shocking.

I was thinking the same earlier. We're so far behind them its sad.

Well of course you're one of the "squad is fine" crowd.

I just hope to feck that LVG has more sense. 4 or 5 new first team starters needed.

Keep in mind there is nothing to play for from this game. Yes, we'd love to see scintillating footy but it was never going to happen. Avoiding injury is at the top of everyone's mind.

I really wish we'd stop using Smalling at fullback. So easy for the other team to just double up on our wingers knowing that Smalling provides no support.
