Too many of our players do: On the pitch today Kagawa, Welbeck, Mata to some extent; the ball doesn't stick when they have it.
Van Persie and Januzaj are about the only two who when they have the ball, you can look away from the screen, knowing that when you look back they wont have lost it or failed to pass it off.
And the less said about or centre midfielders the better, really.
I've always been of the opinion that it's a severe lack of proper footballers here. And half of the technical players we do have are complete lightweights.
Which is why I never blamed Moyes fully. There's not a manager on earth who can make this side win in style without a couple of midfielders at least.

How do you have this much talent on the pitch and still manage to look this shite. Its unbelievable really.
The squad is not bad enough to be languishing in mid table. When you have a mediocre manager in Moyes and a man (Giggs) who hasn't even obtained all his UEFA badges coaching you, this is what can happen. We need better players everybody knows this, but we shouldn't be where we are in the table with the players we have. Mata, Januzaj, Kagawa and RvP should be sufficient to at least take a game to an opponent but you can see that the very basics of half decent football are non existent on the pitch. We need a good manager first of all.

I really hope the new manager gets rid of some of these jokers. What they've produced this year is disgraceful.
Januzaj has had a 2 on 1 almost every time. It's simple to defend against a winger when he has virtually zero offensive support from his fullback. Shaw has played well, though.
Didnt say that, i think like most we need at least 3-4 good players (1 LB, 2 CMF and 1 winger) to get us back to the top. But a lot of our players arent rubbish just been mis-managed this season. Everyone talks about how we need wholesale changes but i dont think the underperformers will be this bad next season under a more experienced manager
Really poor performance. Very fitting considering the season we have had. No cohesion, no pressure on the ball, trying to counter but moving the ball like treacle from our own final third to Southampton's. Its terrible. I do wonder what tactical work, if any, we went through before this game.

Not sure why we are playing Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra and Fletcher. They are not going to be part of the new managers plans. We should be showcasing our potential so the new manager can at least have something to review during the season break.
Scholes looks like he wants to come on in midfield himself. Sub off Kagawa please. No influence at all.

Bring on scholes and nicky butt. Kagawa and Mata are does not appear to be central midfielders. However, in all honesty, I blame our wank footballing philosophy.
