Also there is something in the rumor why havent United came out and released a statement to say he isnt one of our targets? They said they didnt want Kroos fairly sharpish when LVG got the job.

Most of the transfer forum is based on speculation, might as well close this entire forum off.

The player has not ruled out a move, so there is reason for speculation.

If someone is not interested in this thread, then don't view it and ignore it. It is that simple, instead of complaining and asking to close it.

Funny how no one has asked to close the Filipe Luis thread, considering that transfer is done, and the new discussion should be moved to the football forum.

I'm not denying there's something in it, but the fact is we won't know anything else until he comes back from holiday.

Someone look on Google Earth and see if you can see a 'for sale' sign at his house.

This'll come in about 4 weeks.

We are desperate muppets if we use information from a unknown neighbour saying a house is being put on the market, which to us translate to his moving to Manchester UTD

A couple of weeks ago, everyone seemed to be saying that we shouldn't let this transfer go on and on like Fabregas last season, i.e. if we can't get it done quickly, forget it and move onto other targets. As Juve are clearly 'playing us' would you be happy for us to forget this one now?

Unless you can predict the future, then it is not a 'fact' that nothing will happen till he comes back from vacation.

He can just announce tomorrow that he is staying at Juve and is not going anywhere, or might cut his vacation short if some club come for him with a great offer.

Nothing is certain, and things can change quickly in a transfer window.

I don't mind if it does. It's just tedious going round in circles really. If there's any news then it could be updated but we're just speculating the minute.
You could also personally not come in here until Vidal is back from his holiday if it bothers you so much. Leave us in peace to discuss what shirt number he will get, add him to our pretty little formations and discuss his latest Chilevision interviews!

You don't know that anyone is "playing" anyone. Infact nobody knows what's going on.

Clubs won't just roll over and let you take their best players anyway.

He might, in which case, open the thread. But it's just drivel at this stage.

I guess.

OK, but it seems that way. Either way it is dragging on and becoming another Fabregas-like saga - people said if that happens we should move on - should we move on?

It's not like that though is it, because the club haven't even confirmed they want the player.

We've got a manager who started this week so it's evident that transfers may take some time. I suspect they're working on a list of potential targets.

I cant believe were speculating on a possible transfer on whether or not his house is up for sale. Is there anyone on here from Chile that can interrupt Vidals holiday for 2 mins to find out whats going on? Failing that can anyone in the good old USofA go to Uniteds hotel with a banner reading 'LVG are you signing Vidal or not? Nod for yes shake for no'
This post made me chuckle

Erm, the season is starting in a few weeks and, besides, you want new signings to be involved pre-season. Our title challenge could be all but over by the end of August

I was being facetious son. I'm well aware time is very quickly running out, and wondering why we aren't moving quicker.

I'm just remembering all the people who were "it's only may", it's only june etc etc.

Well, we're on a training camp now, and players need bedding in!

  1. First fixture is a month away
  2. Since when can a title challenge be over after 3 games...

Champs normally lose about 6 games. So if you lose your first 3, and are already 9 points off 3-4 teams then, you're massively in trouble.

have you seen the fixture list?

Like feck would it be over after 3 games. We won't lose the first 3 games anyway so the point is entirely rubbish. It's just drama queen antics because Vidal isn't in a United shirt yet.

And we won the league two seasons ago, have a bit more optimism.

I was just pointing out how a league title challenge could be mortally wounded by the end of August.

I don't myself think we'll lose any of the first 6.
The Van Gaal factor immediately lifts us from last year.

However, I'd like him to have a better chance with some top names coming in, who wouldn't!

ps we didn't win the league that year we lost the 2nd game to burnley

Found it on Google street view

There's way too many drama queens on this forum who are predicting the sky to fall in if we don't sign anyone. Well it's obvious we will sign more players but they're just impatient muppets. I mean seriously, our title challenge being over after 3 games, it's a terrible point and post.

if we lost the 3 it would be. But we won't lose them I agree.

The sky fell in last season. 7th is sky fallen in territory for us. I cannot see us not coming back up the league. But then who could have envisaged 1st to 7th last year?

If we don't buy at least one more midfielder, and a damn good one at that, we will almost certainly not be getting 4th or higher. I guarantee you that. Our midfield is beyond shite.

Might not be the sky falling but people are right to be concerned heading into the next few weeks.

Some of us did. Granted not 7th, but a number of us knew we'd have a terrible season because we knew David Moyes was a bad decision. The point is that we won't lost our first 3 games, we will sign players, the season starts in a months time and we have an experienced manager in charge. There is literally no need to panic this Summer, we're in good hands.

I will ask when he gets to Miami on 4th. However as Vidal will be back from holiday I think we will already know.

It's not anyone predicting the "sky to fall in" or whatever, if we don't sign anyone, it will be a horrendous season, that much is clear. You really think it's ideal not having signed anyone with about a month to the start of the season and starting with Herrera, Cleverley & Fellaini? :wenger:
