League is full of donkey defenders for few seasons. If teams allow him to run at their defenders like we did yesterday in first half we can expect more of that.
He must be full of confidence after running at the likes of Johnson and Toure in training.

Any criticism of United's team or players is obviously self-defeating, because however shite we were (and, understandably given the context of the match, we were pretty shite in the first half), they were worse. They think Herrera was bad? Still did a better job than either Gerrard or Henderson.
He's brilliant when it's going his way, but was bereft of ideas and initiative when playing in Brazil. He had a lot of chances and opportunity against Italy and ran out of ideas of how to get past a very average Italian defence.
He fits well at RAWK. I think he might be a Liverpool fan pretending to be United fan. After all, they need some living proof for all the stories they make about their 'manc mate.' If I remember correctly, he was fixated on an idea that we, United fans, chill out during the Suarez being a racist incident.
The whole team was in fairness, but I thought he was very good against Italy and it was against Uruguay he struggled. Either way, when one of our highlights was a 19 year old he must have done something right.
The second half against Italy was dire, as was the rest of the tournament. My only point is that he isn't ripping up trees in the national shirt.
That's a bit like saying Iniesta lost his ability to play great football because the entire spain team sucked balls. It's pretty hard for a 19 year old to deliver when the entire team is playing shite.

England lacked cohesion and direction. Not easy for a young load playing in the front three to do anything there.
As it is, if Januzaj can perform yhis year like he did for Liverpool last year I'd be delighted.
My point was responding that he could be a big player for the euros. There was no evidence for him or any of the other players that they would be big players at the euros. Nothing to see here....

We have heard so much much about so many of the English youth and potential. I have yet to see anyone really fulfil that potential. Owen was probably the last real deal. Rooney not done it at international or European stage in my eyes since his injury. Yet to see Wilshire or walcott come of age. Now it will be Ox, Barkely and Sterling.
What I don't see from Sterling is a football brain. The comments above about Brazil are quite true. Ignore the fact that the English side as team were very poor, when he had the ball he was pretty clueless. He did lots of running into defenders, kept the ball too long and so on. He didn't know when to do the right pass. Probably everything he didn't do for Liverpool in the second half of the season. He may have speed and potential, but if he doesn't think and learn when to do the right thing, it will just remain potential. Look at nani for evidence.
But that's a common problem with young players that a good manager can help him with.
It's not just potential though, he's already performing at a very high standard for Liverpool. His football brain is already miles better than Nani's ever was or will be, imo.

Sterling is already a better player than Lennon ever was and can potentially be a world class player.
Lennon is just a pace merchant. Except when he's playing against Evra in which case he becomes George Best.
Their similarities end with their speed. Sterling is a totally different type of player.
Well in Nostradamus. Nani was arguably better than Bale in a Premier League season. Sterling is a very good player with great potential and had a cracking season as a young player. He may turn out to the dog's bollocks, but just stating that he'll definitely be better than Nani is quiet something. There are many reasons why young players don't develop as expected.
