Madden 15

Anyone else going to be picking this up? Will be getting it for the PS4, so would be good to get some games if anyone else is.

They've just released an ad for it....different is one word for it!

 
:lol: That is some crazy advert. I do like Kevin Hart mind.

Looking forward to this, Madden 25 was a big disappointment for me, felt rushed and the next gen version look horrible. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

I like the sound of the trainer they have added - eg taking you through different coverages, how to recognise them and what type of plays will work against specific coverages.

The previews I have read / seen all point to this being a good improvement over last years, so really looking forward to it.

The ratings for my Niners are also looking pretty good - plus the team should be more fun to use this year as they have added more weapons since last year.
 
So anyone else picking this up?

Will get mine later today - be up for playing online if anyone else is!
 
Mine should hopefully arrive on Friday (PS4) so I'd be up for some games when I've got to grips with it.
 
I've been playing it on XB1. It's a massive improvement on Madden 25 think you guys will enjoy it. Defense is so much better and it looks great.

Have read some extremely positive reviews. I didn't get Madden 25 as was holding off getting a PS4 - so it will be changing from Madden 13 on PS3 to Madden 15 on PS4 so should be a big improvement! Actually, I think last year's was the first Madden I didn't buy since the first Madden on the Megadrive!!

What teams do you typically play with? I've been a Niners fan since the mid 80s, so will stick with them - the last few years have been good, but have played with a lot of very average 49er teams over the years. Am happy that Kaepernick has been accurately recreated - the graphics look incredible.

I'm a Seahawks fan so have been playing with them mostly. I have played a couple of games with Patriots and 49ers who also seem pretty good. Yep it will be a massive upgrade from Madden 13!
 
I got Madden 25 with my Launch PS4 and I enjoyed it at first but the problems become obvious and not really touched it for months. Sold it to Amazon last week for £18 I think which wasn't bad.

Looking forward to the new one though, watched quite a lot of gameplay on Twitch and it looks much improved, especially on the defensive side. Green Bay fan here so generally play with them.

Am liking Twitch and Ustream for getting previews of different games - v useful!

I like the sound of the defenseive cam that you can switch to, and the training area. Can't wait to play!
 
Picking up my PS4 in about 3 weeks, will likely pick this up on the same day.

Will be up for a few games online if anybody fancies it.

Basically Madden has a glitch where they listed a player as 1 foot 2 inches

Have been playing quite a bit of this - really like it. Such a step up from the PS3.

Has anyone tried The Gauntlet mode?
 
It's fantastic. A huge improvement over Madden 25.

I'm still learning the deeper workings of the sport and learning more tactical things. My defence needs work, especially play calling.
 
Got it for the PS4, massive improvement over Madden 25 for the PS4 which was a lazy port. The visuals and presentation stuff is great, love the new defence mechanics too.

Yep - that mode is a cool. Although only made it past 2 boss challenges so far!

I love the new tutorial / skills section - actually teaches football fundamentals, and allows you practice some of the more complex plays - such as the triple option.

V impressed overall!

Yep that's another really good feature.
 
I got it on XB1.....needed to get the dust off the console, and well it's good fun as usual. Not sure I want to do online H2H with the die hard Americans though, but I haven't even got gold atm, barely touched a game in months.

Haha good point! It's different from FIFA, where if a game is going badly, you don't have that long until it finishes. With Madden, you invest more time in each game - and playing out an already lost game is pretty demoralising! Not sure if there is the option to concede a game, rather than quitting?
 
You can do a friendly quit but I don't think it is good for your DNF %.
 
Disappointed that there's no demo for this. Not a huge NFL fan but I've had a few Madden's over the years and usually enjoyed it. Think I'd need a demo to see if i think it's worth it.

It's the best Madden that I've played by far - and except for last year I have been playing them each year since the Megadrive days. So would recommend it without any hesitation.
 
I bought Madden in 2006 when I got Xbox 360 in the US, absolutely loved it to bits. I spent north of 100 hours playing it I think. Great reviews this one's been getting makes me want to get it for PS4... I have no clue about football but then again I had no clue about baseball or basketball and MLB The Show and NBA 2K14 are two of my most time consuming PS4 games.

I've been watching American Football for 30-odd years, playing Madden every year, and have also played myself for about 5 years. But even with that I found the tutorials extremely useful - way beyond any training they have offered in past Madden's. These help you identify the type of coverage, and then help you with what plays are designed to work well against that specific formation...and it then gives you the chance to practice them.

So I think this will help both those new to the series / sport, but also those who have played it for years.
