He will probably be subbed on.
He will unless something conspires against him, like an injury at the back or god help us another sending off. Hopefully they can get a couple of goals up and Falcao and Ander can come on. Don't want to have to see any defenders come on or Fletcher.

It definitely is. Its like spoiled kids who aren't getting their desired present on Christmas morning.

That's exactly what it is, except it's (mostly) grown men which makes it worse

Why would he play Di Maria in a midfield two and Carrick in defense when we have two fit CBs? Hopefully is four at the back.

The team would look instantly better had we dropped RvP for Herrera.

    Team News

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Smalling, Carrick, Rojo, Valencia, Fellaini, Mata, Di Maria, Young, Rooney, van Persie
Subs: Lindegaard, Blackett, McNair, Fletcher, Herrera, Januzaj, Falcao

Hull XI: McGregor, Chester, Dawson, Davies, Elmohamady, Livermore, Diame, Ben Arfa, Robertson, Brady, Jelavic
I disagree. People are allowed to bitch and moan seeing as van Persie is still starting despite everything

So we should've started someone who's been out for over a month and still not found fitness after a really bad injury beforehand?

Why not drop Van Persie and just go 1 uptop?. Dont get the insistence on 2 uptop if RVP is not involved in the game as it is when he plays. Clearly Rooney can still be a lethal finisher in and around the box. Could of put Rooney uptop, Mata behind, Mcnair as a CB and Shifted Carrick into midfield with Fellaini and Di Maria.

Dont see why we HAVE to play 2 strikers all the time.

I thought herrera is more suited against Hull than Stoke, unless he is going to sit on the bench for both of the games. Disappointing

we dont have to play 2 upfront to be fair

I see your point but I think we always must play one of RVP, Falcao and Wilson because they are proper 9's. Rooney always drops deep as we know. I get the impression LVG feels that way anyway

You can choose players to start and sub but only get one point.
Yep. Today, I put Mata as a sub, but not as a starter. If I remember correctly, I get a point for that. However, I chose Blackett and McNair as starters. If they get subbed on, I do not get any points.

Edit: had a look at the last few games, apparently I'm wrong :nervous:

okay fair enough to the arguments about falcoa not being fully fit and wilson picking up a knock, in order to justify rvp's position. Personally if this was the case I would have just played rooney up top and bring in herrera for rvp.

Also really disappointed with mcnair not starting. This kid's been excellent imo and i would rather play him in back 3

Yes got all 11 correct, although I were putting Van Persie in just to jinx things...

I disagree. People are allowed to bitch and moan seeing as van Persie is still starting despite everything

So you think an injured Wilson should be played so he gets even worse or that Falcao should play 60 - 90 minutes in his first game back despite his recent injury troubles...

I love how tactically flexible Van Gall is. Stop moaning and just enjoy the game, He might see something that We don't.

    Can't wait!

Lineups updated, just 7/11 for me.

Any odds for which Hill player will have the game of their life today?

An the award for biggest game raising bastard and winner of the Manchester United Cup goes too...

So would most of us. tbh.

No, only people people you pick to start and actually start.

Edit: If you mean you picked him as both you obviously get a point also.

Rooney is terrible as a lone striker. Always has been and always will be. And despite how well he's done, Rojo and Smalling are better players than McNair right now. Smalling made up for his idiotic performance against City with a great one last weekend.

    So, how did you do?

RedCafe member Ayush_reddevil is now 3 points ahead of second (he's on 156 points while Amadeus is on 153).
No, only people people you pick to start and actually start.
Yeah just had a look at the last few games, you're right. Makes sense I guess. Means I only have 8 points today (or 9 if Falcao gets on) :(

Because I implied that right?

Line up should be strong enough to win this match. Not sure how we will go defensively though as it is a rather poor looking back line, with basically only two actual defenders on the park and the rest fill ins. Should be able to control the game at the very least, but I can see quick breaks causing us trouble

Rojo would've made it hard for anyone to get 11/11 this week.

Yeah, wasn't expecting Rojo in and for some reason I didn't put Valencia in when I could have sworn I did.

Am I the only one who thinks that it's pretty natural to play with RVP as it seems like Wilsons is injured and Falcao just has come back from injury? Not rocket science, really.

Rojo would've made it hard for anyone to get 11/11 this week.

I had Rojo in, but thought we would go with Blackett at LCB and Rojo at LWB like we did against QPR. Also had Wilson in for Mata.

    Van Persie Hat trick....

though am irritated how he continues to be picked no matter how rubbish he is playing.
