Champions League - Quarter Finals

That was just awful. From Ramos in midfield to Atletico playing the most negative game possible. Utter wank. Both quarters tonight ended 1-0 on aggregate.

I really wouldn't - it's not a booking. The ball is right there, so not like it's really late, and he's not really followed through hard or anything... it's one constant motion an the contact is minimal.

Deserved to be sent off for grabbing the ref though.
He doesn't have to follow through. That's the point of the yellow. Ramos is kicking the ball so Ramos' leg his going at full speed right against a straight leg with studs first. Proper contact is irrelevant when it's that dangerous. These challenges are always a yellow card these days.

Hernandez is down for about 3 minutes then how long it takes to make subs. He adds on 5 minutes of injury time on the 91st minute. Blows at 95:05 after playing like 30 seconds within injury time. Piss take.

The diving from Real was shocking throughout the game.

Just how many times more do those fecking cheats have to win it in knock-out stages thanks to the help from the referee?

Also, why it had to be our Pea to put those shits through, ugh.

I'm sick of seeing Barca, Bayern and Madrid in the Semi finals every season. Premier league needs to step the feck up next season, Arsenal, Chelsea and United need to go big in the transfer market.

Supér Chicharito :lol::lol: I can't believe he was there for the tap-in. He was asked to play like Benzema, and did so surprisingly well.

Amazes me how anyone can like Atletico. Well done Real Madrid for knocking them out.

Delighted Juve are through as well.

I hope Bayern smash this cheaters in semis.

And someone needs to punch Ramos. Despicable prick.

Go back and see your original post mate where you're calling the number one team in Italy and a team through to the semi finals of the CL 'average'. Chill out man

They're average, just like Monaco are at this level of the CL. Liverpool won the CL while being average, same with Chelsea. It happens as it's a cup competition, an average team can win it. Seems like I involuntarily touched a nerve there.

They've finally learnt their lesson after seeing Barca doing it in the CL for so many years.

Pathetic stuff really.

Messi is going to go ham on any team he meets in the semi's. I hope he absolutely wrecks that despicable cheating club in the final.

I don't think we had a meaningful shot on goal apart from Pirlo's late freekick. Cannot believe one can qualify for the CL semifinals like that

Juve will be by far the weakest team among the last four. I hope we can park the bus as effective as today, but it is one thing to do that against the two guys that started upfront for Monaco who I had never heard of before than to do that against Messi, Ronaldo, Robben, Neymar, Ribery, Bale, Suarez or Müller... I hope we don't embarrass ourselves.

I've heard that. It would drive me mad though. I couldn't support that. They're some of the best players in the world, playing a team far inferior to them and they act like the football is a sideshow. I mean, it'll take me a while to forgive Herrera.

If this winds up as an El Classico final, I might not watch it.
Was talking to an Italian friend the other day. He said in Italy, they can't understand why the English don't milk challenges more often and play "smarter". Not judging or anything but the footballing cultures are certainly different in the continent.

Juve through with the help of refs
who would have thought

Don't go there. We've been fecked in the CL too often lately (and in the '99 final) and it was about time we had some referee luck.

If a choice was to be made, I'd go for divers rather than butchers.

Butchers? They're robust but nothing tonight could be described the way you're doing it.

I dislike Atletico for their style but their tackles tonight weren't any worse than anything you'll see in any other game of football. Real just made the absolute most of it. For a grown man to roll around the way Ramos & Varane did is genuinely embarrassing.
